设计说明

首先复习阳光中学的Millie, Simon, Daniel和Sandy的一些信息，通过Simon喜欢运动这一细节引出本课关于运动的话题，继而呈现课本19页 A部分的四项体育运动，让学生完成课本内容。在此基础上，让学生学会用适当的语言谈论自己喜欢的某个体育项目。在学生对体育运动项目有了一定的了解以后，再拓展一些其他常见的运动项目，增加学生的词汇。结合19页B的内容，让学生进行一些简单的交际对话。最后呈现Eddie 和Hobo的对话。围绕话题展开各种活动，加深学生对运动的了解，为整个单元的学习打下深厚的基础。

教学目标

通过本单元的教学，让学生达成以下目标：

1.知识目标

掌握新单词及短语：walking, really, bowl, time, tennis, volleyball, enjoy, go swimming。

2.能力目标

（1）掌握常见的几种体育运动的名称。 

（2）使用适当的语言谈论体育运动。

3.情感目标

陶冶学生的体育情操，培养学生对体育运动的热爱，让他们在今后的学习和生活中学会劳逸结合。

Step 1  Warming up

Remind students of some information about Millie, Simon, Daniel and Sandy to present the topic “sports”.

   1. What are their names?

   2. Who likes music?

   3. Who loves reading?

   4. Who is good at Maths?

   5. Who likes sports?

Answers: 1. Millie, Simon, Daniel and Sandy.

2. Sandy.

3. Millie.

4. Daniel.

5. Simon.

Step 2  Presentation  

1. Ask students to talk about:

(1) Do you like sports?

(2) What is your favourite sport?

2. Help students answer the questions like: I like/love/am good at/enjoy…

3. Present four kinds of sports: volleyball, tennis, football and swimming.

4. Present the following phrases:

like doing sth.喜欢做某事

5. Ask them to complete the task in Part A.

Step 4  Discussion

Present Eddie and Hobo’s dialogue.

1. Look at the Comic strip on page 18 and guess Eddie’s favourite sport.

2. Listen to their dialogue and check our answer.

Answer: Eddie likes walking.

3. Read the Comic strip and answer the questions:

a) How does Eddie do his sports?

b) Does Eddie really like walking?

Answers: a) He walks to his bowl many times a day.

b) No, he doesn’t.

4. Act out the dialogue.

(1) Use different tones (语气).

(2) Add your own actions to make the dialogue more interesting.

Step 5  Explanation

1. I walk to my bowl many times a day.我每天都往我的饭碗那儿走好多次。

（1）walk to 意为“步行去……”。

      = go to… on foot

The market is not far, and you can walk to it.

那家超市不远，你可以走过去。

（2）time用作可数名词，意为“次数；几回”。 

once a day一天一次

twice a day一天两次

three times a month一个月三次

I go swimming twice a week.我每个星期游泳两次。

【拓展】time作“时间”讲，是不可数名词。

2. I enjoy swimming.我喜欢游泳。

enjoy doing sth.意为“喜爱/喜欢做某事；享受做某事的乐趣”，相当于like/love doing sth.。

3. What’s your favourite sport, Simon? 你最喜欢的运动是什么，西蒙？

favourite意为“最喜爱的”。

one’s favourite + n. = sb. like sth. best

My favourite food is rice. 我最喜欢的食物是大米。

4. I go swimming every week.我每周都去游泳。

go swimming意为“去游泳”。go + v. -ing表示“去做某事”。常用于从事某一体育活动或休闲娱乐活动。

go running 去跑步

go fishing 去钓鱼    

go shopping 去购物

5. What about you? 你呢？

What about…? = How about… ? 用于询问情况或征求意见，意为“……怎么样？”。
