    教学目标评论

    A. 核心素养之语言能力:

    a. 生词: action movie, cartoon, meaningless,

    b. 能掌握以下句型:because的用法

    I like to watch action movies because theyre exciting.

    John wants to watch talk shows because theyre enjoyable.

    c. 用描述性形容词和because句型表达观点,评价各类影视节目;通过复述听力原文、记者采访、PK演讲等方式,培养学生运用语言的能力,提高语言表达技巧。

    B. 核心素养之文化品格:通过表达对影视节目的评价,深层次地理解每种影视节目的文化内涵,从而真正从观看节目中有所收获。尊重和理解各种不同影视节目之间的差异性,节目是多元化的,使得我们的生活多姿多彩。

    C.核心素养之思维品质:通过对电视节目和电影的描述评价,学会思考和表达自己的想法,思考如何宣传自己喜欢的节目;思考区分每种节目的差异,思考节目的内涵;听力过程中通过预测的策略引发学生对听力内容的思考,判断、推理;任务活动中,引发学生思考,创新思维,形成学生们的思维品质,展现他们思维的差异性和独特性。

    D. 核心素养之学习能力:

    通过预测和速记的听力策略,提高自身的听力技巧。

    通过小组合作的方式,培养团队合作的精神,主动参与语言实践的意识和习惯;通过游戏的方式,激发英语学习的热情和兴趣,以及积极主动的学习态度和成就动机。

    2学情分析评论

    初中学生思维活跃,容易接受新鲜事物,喜欢直观、形象的教学方式。影视节目是学生们感兴趣的话题,教材也提供了丰富、鲜活的语料与图片,以激发学生的生活体验与学习兴趣,让他们尽快进入文本情景中,准确理解目标语言。使用的教材是人教版Go For It。八年级的教学进度还未到达第五单元的学习内容,对于使用Unit 5 Section A的目标语言句式来表达喜好还有些欠缺,但是对于使用形容词描述各种影视节目,这点还是很容易接受的,因此基本上能达到本堂课的语言目标。如何挖掘影视节目深层次的内涵,让学生们从其中收获更多的心灵鸡汤,这个是难点。

    3重点难点评论

    A. 教学重点:

    1) 掌握本课时出现的生词comedy, action movie, meaningless及句式。

    2) 进行听力训练,提高综合听说能力。

    B. 教学难点

    运用描述性词汇来评价各种影视节目,同时挖掘节目深层次的内容。

    4教学过程

    4.1 第一学时

    4.1.1教学活动

    活动1【导入】Step 1  Pre-listening    Lead-in评论

    Step 1: Pre-listening

    Lead-in.

    教师与学生简短问候,然后进入本课的学习。

    内容如下:Good morning, boys and girls. Nice to meet you here.

    Question 1: How was your weekend? Was it interesting?

    师生对话如下:

    S1: No, it was boring.

    T: Sorry to hear that. I hope you can have a good time in my class.

    S2: Yes, it was fantastic.

    T: Glad to hear that.

    T: How was my weekend?

    S1: It was interesting.

    S2:It was boring.

    T: Yes, it was nothing special. I just stayed at home and watched some TV shows and movies.

    Question 2: What kink of TV shows and movies did I watch? Go on guessing.

    S: soap operas.

    T: Yes. I dont mind them. My mom likes them very much. So I watched Sparrow with my mom and we followed the story together.

    S: Talk shows.

    T: Yes, I watched Jinxing Show. I can know many different opinions from the shows. They are wonderful.

    S: sports shows.

    T: No, I dont like them. But my husband loves sports shows He thinks they are exciting.

    S:cartoons.

    T: I dont mind them. Because my children love them very much. They think they are fun and enjoyable.

    S: scary movies.

    T: No, I cant stand scary movies.

    S: news. T: yes, I love it. Its serious, but it is educational. We can know whats going on around the world.

    Question 3: Which is my favorite? From what I said, can you guess which my favorite is.

    T: My favorite is NEWS. I love it. Its educational.

    设计意图:利用影视节目的话题创设了信息沟,让学生猜测老师周末观看的影视节目,激发学生对于老师了解的欲望。并且复习了U5section A谈论节目喜好的句型与话题词汇,激活学生的知识图式,为学生接下来表达对影视节目的观点奠定了一定语言基础。

    活动2【讲授】Step 1  Pre-listening     Picture presentation评论

    2. Picture presentation

    You know so many kinds of TV shows and movies.

    I would like to show you some more pictures. Tell me

    Question1: what kind of TV shows is it?

    Question 2: I think its educational. What do you think of news?

    其中,最后一幅图片加大难度,引发学生思考。

    The last picture will be more difficult.

    What about this picture?

    S: Beijing Opera?

    T:Sorry, Im afraid not. I will give you more descriptions.

    The show is relaxing. There are many games in the show. If you win the game, you are the winner. So I think it is a game show.

    3. Guessing game and Brainstorm

    课件中呈现了四个关键词,通过这四个关键词来猜测是哪一种类型的影视节目。

    Teacher: You know a lot about TV shows and movies. Lets play a guessing game. Guess what kind of TV shows or movies it is. I will show you 4 key words one by one

    猜测之后,让学生brainstorm更多的节目关键词,四个人一个小组,一个小组四个关键词,让其他同学来猜。

    Teacher: Is that guessing interesting?

    So what about having a try yourselves?

    Rules.:

    4 students make a group, work in groups and brainstorm your key words. At least one description word.

    Are you clear?

    How many minutes do you need?

    Two minutes for you.

    设计意图:在导入的free talk 中,老师知道了学生对于影视节目类型的了解程度。老师在表达自己看法的时候,对学生进行了口头语言输入。同时通过图片的方式,展现了不同种类的影视节目,了解了不同人对于不同节目有着不同的看法。 于是,设计一个根据四个关键单词来猜测影视节目类型,这四个描述节目的关键单词都是节目的特点所在。通过这个游戏环节,引导学生对于描述性形容词的使用,也可以挖掘不同影视节目更深层次的内容;游戏营造了活跃的学习氛围,能激发学生的学习热情,激活学生的思维,展示了学生的个性,培养了学生运用语言的能力, 有利于推进后续的语言学习和操练活动。倡导合作、探究式学习方式。培养学生用英语做事情的基本技能,让学生体验使用英语的成功感,启发不断学习的内在动力。

    活动4【活动】Step 2  While listening评论

    1. 听力之前,让学生预测听力内容,预测Mary 和 John 喜欢的节目?引导学生通过Mary和John的不同性别对于节目的不同喜好来猜测。听的时候,带着问题What do John and Mary plan to watch at last? 聚焦关键单词。

    本环节师生对话如下:

    T: Different people have different likes and opinions about shows and movies. Right? So are John and Mary. Look, they are free today. They plan to watch some TV shows or movies. Can you guess what kind of TV shows or movies they will watch?

    You see, John is a boy. Guess what kind of shows and movies does a boy like?

    S1: sports shows.

    S2: Action movies.

    S3: News.

    T: Mary is a girl. What about her?

    S1: Soap operas.

    S2: Talk shows.

    T: Remember your guess. And listen to the key words. Are you ready? Here we go.

    听第二遍之前,提出任务要求,浏览表格,认真听对话,填写相关的描述性形容词,并及时指导学生运用速记的听力策略。

    本环节师生对话如下:

    Why do they plan to watch talk shows finally? What do they think of other TV shows and movies?

    Next, look through the chart. Listen again, and write down the description words.

    Some words are a little longer. Here is a listening tip for you: Whiling listening, just write the first one or two letters of the word. For example, exciting, write ex. educational, write ed. Then, complete them later.

    Clear? Lets begin.

    学生完成表格后,一横排为John,另一横排为Mary核对答案。

    These students, you are John. These students, you are Mary.

    设计意图:听力训练重视过程性与循序渐进,让听大致内容,然后听具体细节,核对预测。从听大意到聚焦细节,再到梳理核心句型,体现了语言学习的规律。同时将预测和速记的听力策略有效渗透到听力活动中,让学生在活动中体验、感悟、理解和运用听力策略。其中,听前预测能够加速听力理解的过程,对其他诸如识别、选择、判断、归纳、推理、记忆等听力技能起到重要的辅助作用。

    活动5【活动】Step 3 Post listening评论

    Retell the dialogue. 复述听力对话内容,巩固语言

    板书两个句子: Look at the blackboard.

    John likes action movies. _________ He thinks they are exciting.

    T: Can you say the sentence in another way?

    Can we use one word to join them together?

    S: Because.

    T: Thats right. You are so smart.

    John likes action movies because he thinks they are exciting.

    Lets retell the dialogue in this way. Can you do it? Have a try.

    复述,再次选择两横排同学为John和Mary进行复述,操练because句型。

    T:Although there are mistakes, practice makes perfect.

    设计意图: 根据完成的1c内容,用刚学的because表因果关系的复合句来口头复述听力内容,巩固所学。because的用法,学生不难接受。但是它是本课时学习的语言现象,有必要专门在黑板上写出来,并且让学生通过复述听力原文的方式进行操练。

    活动6【活动】Step 3 Post listening 评论

    小组合作,综合运用语言

    听完听力John 和Mary 想观看talk shows,教师联系到自己,想观看news,因为是她最喜欢的节目。之后询问学生是否也想观看最喜爱的节目,创设情境:江西电视台都市频道征选8点黄金档节目。学生可以告知自己最喜爱的影视节目,并且使其成为黄金档节目。接着,任务出现,要成为黄金档节目,必须完成两个任务。一个是Interview,另一个是PK speech。

    Task 1: interview

    John and Mary plan to watch talk shows finally. As for me, I hope to watch news. Its my favorite. Do you want to watch your favorite shows or movies?

    S: Yes.

    T: Here is some good news for you. Because JX TV CITY CHANNEL is going to choose 8: 00 prime time show. You can tell them your favorite shows or movies. And you can help it to become the prime time show. How to help it? Look, you should finish these 2 tasks. Task1: interview. Task 2: PK speech.

    采访之前,先给一分钟小组讨论自己最喜欢的影视节目,为接下来采访的顺利进行扫清障碍。

    T: One minute for you. Talk with your group members about your opinions first.

    讨论完毕

    T:OK, now I need a reporter to help me interview. Who wants to be the reporter?

    S: me.

    T: Thank you, handsome boy. You are so nice.

    采访前,教师为记者,采访这位同学,给他展示如何进行采访。

    T:I will show you an example. Good afternoon, Im the reporter from JX TV City Channel. May I ask you some questions?

    S: Yes.

    T: What kind of TV shows or movies do you like best ? Why?

    S: I like actions movies best. Because I think they are exciting.

    T: Thank you. Are you clear about how to interview?

    S: Yes

    T: Ok. Now you can walk around and interview.

    TASK 2 PK Speech

    完成了采访,接下来还有PK Speech。四人一小组,选择一个节目来推选为黄金档节目,小组活动为此节目做一个PK speech。最后,获投票最多的节目,将成为黄金档节目。教师鼓励其他节目也要多观看,丰富知识,拓宽视野

    以下为所给示范PK speech的内容:

    Come to where HAPPINESS is !

    Handsome boys, pretty girls, our shows are game shows.

    Game shows are the most interesting,

    and the most enjoyable.

    In our shows, we have many super stars,

    like TF boys, Xue Zhiqian, Zheng Shuang.

    Join us, and we will make you happy every day!

    T:Different people have different favorite TV shows or movies. But we have only one prime time show. Each group, chooses one show, and give a PK Speech for it. If you win, your shows can be the prime time show.

    每组选定一个节目,为其做推选。小组讨论完,选定节目之后,开始准备PK speech。

    T: Whats a PK speech? Here is an example.

    Lets read it together.

    After the PK speech, you are the judges, so be fair, and decide which the winner is.

    3 minutes for you. 3 minutes later, the group leader, please show your PK speech.

    PK speech呈现完毕,学生举手投票,选出你最喜欢的黄金档节目。

    But dont lose your heart, other shows and movies. You are unique. You are confident. You are also the best.
