    find sb. ding sth. 意为“发现某人正在做某事”, 表示动作正在进行,ding sth. 作宾语补足语。

    【拓展延伸】find sb. d sth.“发现某人做过某事”,强调发现动作经常发生或发现动作的全过程。

    (1) wrk ut在此处意为“成功地发展”,相当于不及物动词,其后可接 fine, well, badly等词,表明结果如何。
    (2)wrk ut还可意为“解决;算出”,此时为“动词+副词”型短语,代词作宾语时,要放在wrk与ut之间。

    C. 征求性建议法: ① Hw abut + 名词 或 v-ing e.g. Hw abut playing basketball? ② What abut + 名词 或 v-ing e.g. What abut a cup f tea?D. 劝告性建议法: Yu'd better (nt) + v.(动词原形) e.g. Yu'd better nt read such bks.
    E. 责备性建议法: ① Why dn't yu + 动词原形 e.g. Why dn't yu ask yur teacher? ② Why nt + 动词原形 e.g. Why nt jin us? Why nt d sth.? 实际是Why dn't yu d sth.?的缩略形式。
    F. 请求性建议法: ① Wuld yu like + 名词/动词不定式? e.g. Wuld yu like a cup f cffee? Wuld yu like t study with me? ② Wuld/Culd yu please (nt) + 动词原形...? e.g. Culd yu please stay here anther day? Wuld yu please wait me at the schl gate?

    直到……为止;到……时
    二、althugh, s that及until引导的状语从句
    可以放在主句前面,也可以放在主句后面
    一般放在主句后,且不用逗号隔开。
    常放在主句之后,也可以放在主句之前
    1. 尽管她不对,但这也不是什么大不了的事。 Althugh she’s wrng, it’s nt a big deal.2. 你必须现在就去,以便不会迟到。 Yu must g nw s that yu wn’t be late.3. 他起得早,因此赶上了早班车。 He gt up early s that he caught the early bus.
    althugh引导的让步状语从句
    althugh意为“尽管;然而”,引导让步状语从句,相当于thugh。
    Althugh we are neighbrs, I dn't knw them well. Althugh she was in pr health, she cntinued t carry ut her duties.
    Althugh/Thugh he was badly ill, he still went t schl.
    【易错警示】althugh或thugh不能与but用在同一个句子中,但可以与yet, still同时使用。
    s that引导的目的状语从句
    s that意为“为了,以便”,引导目的状语从句,相当于in rder that,从句中多含有can, culd, may, might等情态动词。
    I tk a taxi s that I culd get there earlier.
    The mvie was bring s that half f the audience was asleep.
    【拓展延伸】s that还可引导结果状语从句,意为“因此;所以”,此时从句中通常不含情态动词。
    s…that…用来引导结果状语从句,s后面加形容词或副词,其意为“如此……以至于……”。如:1) This bk is s interesting that everyne wants t read it. 2) He ran s fast that I culdn't catch up with him. 当从句是肯定句,可转换为 t d...句型。e.g. He is s strng that he can carry the big bx. = He is strng enugh t carry the big bx. 当从句是否定句,可转换为 t... t d...句型 。e.g. She is s yung that she can't g t schl.= She is s yung that she can't g t schl.
    until引导的时间状语从句
    until作连词,意为“直到”,引导时间状语从句。
    I'll stay here until yu cme back.
    主句是肯定句时,其谓语用延续性动词,强调主句的动作或状态一直持续到从句的动作发生时为止,译成“直到……为止”。
    We can't get ff the bus until it stps.We didn't start ur discussin until he arrived.
    主句是否定句时,其谓语用非延续性动词,强调主句的动作在从句的动作发生之后才开始,一般译成“直到……才……”。
    A. until用来引导时间状语从句,应遵循 “主将从现”原则, 即主句如用一般将来时, 从句一般用一般现在时。同步推之,如果主句用过去将来时, 从句一般用一般过去时。B. until除了用作连词, 还可用作介词,后面接名词, 代词或动名词。 We did nt ntice this matter until yesterday. C. till与until为同义词, 都可表示 “直到…为止”, 但如果要表示 “直到…才”, 一般用nt ... until结构, 且till引导的时间状语从句通常只能放在主句之后。

    afraid在句中一般作表语,不作定语,其主要用法有:
