① althugh更正式 Althugh / thugh it was cld, he didn’t light the fire.② thugh可以和even 连用，但althugh 不可 Althugh (Even thugh) the traffic held us up, we gt t the airprt n time.
1．althugh / thugh
③ thugh引导的从句可用倒装语序（即把从句中的表语/状语/动词原形放在thugh之前），而althugh 不能 Yung thugh she is, yet she is fit fr the jb. (= Yung as she is, …)④ 可用副词yet, still, nevertheless（然而）加强语气 (但不能用连词but) Thugh he is ver seventy, yet / still / nevertheless he can ride the bike.
⑤如从句和主句中的主语指同一个人或物时, thugh和althugh后面的 主语和谓语动词be可以省略 Thugh (he was) severely wunded, yet he refused t leave the battle field. Thugh (they were) very tired, they cntinued t march n.
2、as: （虽然） 常放句首，部分倒装 （注：thugh 可倒可不倒） （as 必倒）倒装 ： 表语 / 状语 / 动词原形 要置于句首adj. / adv./ 过分/ v. / n. / + as + 主 + 谓注意：①表语是名词，不可加冠词 ②形容词、副词最高级前the省略③行为动词原形 + as + 主语 + 谓语的另一部分（情态动词或助动词may, might, will, wuld等）

3. 行为动词原形的倒装 动词前面带有情态动词may, might, will, wuld, can, culd等时，只将行为动词提到句首，而这些情态动词保留在原处。 B. 若动词前面没有情态动词时，应在动词原来的位置加上助动词d的适当形式。 C. 用于这一句型的动词一般是不及物动词，而不能是系动词或及物动词。Swim as he can, he can’t swim s far. Run as he did, he didn’t run fast enugh t catch the bus.
3．even if, even thugh 即使，虽然，尽管 语气强 I’ll d it, even if it takes me all the afternn. Even if yu fail, yu can try again.注：if 有时也可以用于让步含义， 但要注意条件if 与让步if 的区别，试比较： If he is pr, hw can he buy the huse? (条件) If he is pr, he is at least hnest. (让步) (= even if)
4、 “不论是否…”， “不管是…还是…”由这一个复合连词引导的让步状语从句旨在说 明正反两个方面的可能性都不会影响主句的意 向或结果。 Yu’ ll have t attend the ceremny whether yu’ re free r busy. 不管你忙不忙，都要参加这个典礼。Whether yu believe it r nt, it’ s true. 无论你是否相信，这都是真的。
5．while引导让步状语从句：只位于句首While they are my neighbrs, I d nt knw them well. 虽然他们是我的邻居，但我并不很熟悉他们注意比较：While I understand what yu say, I can’t agree with yu. While I was reading, the light went ut. He is idle, while his brther is diligent.

归纳：1、n matter + 疑问词 只引导让步状从2、疑问词+ever 既能引导让步状从 又能引导名词性从句 N matter when yu leave, I’ll see yu ff.= Whenever yu leave, ------.Whenever yu’ll leave is nne f my business. (主语从句）Please tell me whatever yu want t d. （宾语从句）注意： 让步状语从句一般现在时表将来 名词性从句则可用将来时
3、hwever / n matter hw 放在句首的时候要紧挨它的修饰词，并不是倒 装，看起来像倒装 但与as是不同Hwever / N matter hw ld he is, he keeps n learning English.Old as / thugh he is, he keeps n learning English.

原因状语从句的引导词：1. Because because 表示直接原因，语气最强，because所引导的原因状语从句通常位于主句之后，because所引导的句子还常用于回答why引导的特殊疑问句。e.g: I d it because I like it.
2. since/nw that。通常译为“既然”，表示已知的﹑显然的理由，语气比 because 弱，较为正式；nw that，更突出事实本身。 Since 和nw that 所引导的原因状语从句一般位于主句之前。
e.g: 既然你比较空闲，那就帮我补习数学吧。 Since yu are free, cme and help me with my mathematics.既然你是个男子汉，就不要做这样的事了。Nw that yu are a man, yu must nt d such a thing.
3. As 引导附带说明的“双方已知的原因”，语气比since弱，较为正式，位置较为灵活（常放于主句之前）。天还在下雨，你还是乘出租车好了。As it is raining,yu’d better take a taxi.
4. frFr 所引导的原因状语从句并非用于说明主句行为发生的直接原因，而是为了提供一些辅助性的补充说明，只能放于主句之后并且必须用逗号将其与主句隔开。e.g: 他不可能见到我，因为当时我并不在那里。He culd nt have seen me, fr I was nt there.
注意：在强调句型中，强调原因状语从句时，只可用It is/was because… that…而不可用since 或 as引导原因状语从句。由于她妈妈病了，她没和我们一起去。It was because her mther was ill that she didn’t g with us.
还有一些介词短语也可以表示原因。这类介词短语有：thanks t, as a result f,because f, due t, wing t 等。e.g: 多亏了你的帮忙，我才通过了测验。由于战争，许多人丧失了生命。 As a result f the war,many peple’s lives were lst.

由于需求的增加，一些商品提价了。Sme articles have risen in price due t the increasing demand.那班列车因天气恶劣而误点。The train was late wing t the bad weather.
seeing that, cnsidering that, in that 等也可以引导原因状语从句。既然他没有经验，他就不合适这项工作。 Seeing (that) he is inexperienced, he is nt fit fr the wrk.考虑到这个时间交通很拥挤，我们只好再呆一会儿。Cnsidering (that) the traffic is heavy this time f day, we will have t wait a little lnger.
我喜欢这座城市，但我更喜欢乡村，因为那里有更清新的空气。I like the city, but I prefer the cuntry in that there is fresher air.
注意: 1. befre 引导的从句常用句型；It is lng befre ···（过了 好久才···）It is nt lng befre···(过了不久就···)2. till/ until (till 一般不放在句首) 持续性动词（肯定式）+ until (直到···为止)瞬间性动词（否定式）+until (直到···才)强调句型；It is nt until···that I waited until/till he had finished his wrk.3. since 译为 自从···来since+瞬间性动词过去式，从该动作发生时
4. 原因状语从句的连 because/as/since because 引导原因状语从句，说明直接原因。有时也用于推测性理由表示必然的因果关系。回答why 只能用because,在because 前可加 nly， just等表示强调意义的 词或否定词nt.在构成强调句型时，只能用 because从句 不能用since或 as 从句。
如：2000年来没有任何人怀疑过他的观点，仅仅因为他是亚里士多德--伟大的思想家。N ne questined his idea fr almst 2000 years nly because he wasAristtle, the great thinker.
注意：fr 可连接并列句，表示原因fr 是并列连词。fr只能后置，往往是对前面句子加以说明或补充说明某些事实。
