九年级（上学期） Unit1 Know yourself 学案（二） and、but、or和so的用法 A. and的用法： 【考点聚焦】 and可以连接语法作用相同的词、短语或句子，表示并列或对称的关系，可翻译为“和”、“并”、“又”、 “兼”等。 (1) 连接两个并列主语。如： eg: Millie and Amy go to the park every week. Millie和Amy每周都去公园。 (2) 连接两个并列谓语。如： eg: You must take care of yourself and keep healthy. 你必须照顾你自己并保持健康。 (3) 连接两个简单句。如： eg: They love playing football and we love playing football, too.他们喜欢踢足球，我们也喜欢踢足球。 【友情提醒】 (1) 如果连接两个或两个以上的词语，通常把and放在最后一个词语前面；为了强调，可在两者之间分别加上 and；把词语连接起来时，通常把较短的词语放在前面。 eg: I like eggs, meat, rice, noodles and dumplings. 我喜欢鸡蛋、肉、米饭、面条和饺子。 (2) 但是有些用and连接的词语，顺序是固定的，不能随意改变。 eg: men，women and children 男人、妇女和儿童 fish and chips 炸鱼加炸土豆片 B. but的用法： 【考点聚焦】 but在英语中常用作连词。用来连接词与词、词组与词组或句子与句子、表示某种逻辑关系（并列、从属、转 折、因果等）。 一般而言，凡是用but连接的两个内容，其意义是相反的，如果不带有相反的意义，则不能用but，而要用and。 eg: He is poor but honest. 他很穷但非常诚实。 I was going to write, but I lost your address. 我想给你写信，但是忘记了你的地址。 【知识拓展】 (1) but 用法连词，表示让步关系，意思是“除非，要不是”，常与that一起构成but that, 相当于"if...not"。 例 eg: I would have failed but that your helped me.要不是你们帮助我，我就会失败 (2) but用于否定词加doubt, question, deny等到之后，没有实在意义，只相当于关系连词that. eg: There's no doubt but he is a thief.毫无疑问，他是一个贼。 (3) but用作介词，表示“除了”意义，相当于besides, except. eg: No one knows him but she. 除了她，没有人认识她。 C. or的用法： 【考点聚焦】 (1) 表示选择，意为“或”、“还是”。一般用于选择疑问句或者否定句中。 eg: Is the radio off or on? 收音机关上了还是开着的？ You may do it yourself, or ask someone else to do it. 你可以自己做，也可以要别人做。 We don't know whether he's alive or dead.我们不知道他是死是活。 (2) 意为“否则” eg: Hurry up,or you’ll be late. 快点，否则就要迟到了。这里or表示“否则，不然的话”= otherwise D. so的用法： 【考点聚焦】 so可以用作连词，表示“因此，所以”。 eg: I heard some noise outside, so I went out of the room to see why. so that作为连词词组，表示 “以便，为了”。 eg: The vase is put high on the table, so that it won’t be broken. so可以用作副词， (1) “如此，这么”结构为：so+adj./adv eg: She was so tired that she fell asleep very fast. 表示此意思时，还可以用：so+adj.+a/an+n. eg: It is so good a movie that everyone who saw it praises it very much. (2) “如此，如是”，用于表示已经提到的想法，建议或情况等 eg: “Will I need my umbrella?” , “I think so.” (3) “也是，也一样”结构为so+助动词/情态动词/be动词+主语 eg: Tony takes exercise every day and so does his younger brother. 注意:否定句应把so改为neither/nor，结构为neither/nor+助动词/情态动词/be动词+主语 eg: Jenny has never been late for class. Neither/Nor her younger brother. (4) “确实是这样”，表示对前面陈述事实的强调，结构为so+主语+助动词/情态动词/be动词 eg: Tony works very hard at all the subjects.
