    Teaching aims

    Knowledge aims: At the end of the lesson, the students should learn some related vocabulary about sandwiches and TV, including their development.

    Ability aims: At the end of the lesson, the students should learn how to arrange a passage according to some writing points.

    Emotion aims: At the end of the lesson, the students should have a general idea about writing.

    Teaching procedures

        Step one- Revision

    1.在它的长脖子上仅七块骨头only seven bones in its long neck

    2.生活在地上/树上/水里live on the ground /in trees/in water

    3.吃得少或什么不吃eat little or nothing

    4.不喝水能生活很长时间can live without water for a long time

    Read and answer:

    He liked playing cards very much.

    Because he didnt want to stop to eat.

    3.Did others like this kind of food?

    Yes, they did.

    Step four- Structure

    Introduction : give the topic

    We live in a wonderful world with a lot of amazing things.

        Many people like sandwiches, but do you know anything about this kind of food?

    Body: the story of sandwiches

    Sandwich got its name from a man called John Montagu, the Fourth Earl of Sandwich. The man loved playing cards with his friends very much. He did not want to stop for meals, so he put meat between two pieces of bread. Soon others wanted to eat the same food, so they asked for a sandwich.

    Conclusion: feelings

    Later the food became popular all over the world. Isnt that amazing?

    We live in a wonderful world with a lot of amazing things.

      Many people like watching TV, but do you know anything about TV? The first TV show was in the UK in 1926. There were about 2,000 TVs in use by 1935. In China, there were about 29 TVs per 100 families in 1987. But now most families have at least one TV. And now TVs can be as large as 152 inches.

        Now  TVs became popular all over the world.

    Isnt that amazing?
