    Learn the fllwing sentences by PPT:

    Did yu buy anything special?

    Listen t 1a and match the activities with the pictures.
    First let the Ss listen carefully. Then check the answers.

    Listen and number the peple in the picture.
    Step6: Pair wrk
    Read the sentences in 1c and repeat tgether.
    Wrk in pairs and make cnversatins abut the peple in the picture.

    Listen t 2a and cmplete the chart.
    Listen again. Check yes, I did r N, I didn’t fr each questins.

    Read the dialgue in 2d.
    Rle-play the cnversatin.

    Revise the cntent learnt in last perid and have a dictatin.
    Revise the Indefinite Prnuns.

    Explain the use f them.
    Step3: Grammar Fcus
    Let the students read the sentences in the bx and make sure they understand them. Pay attentin t the use f the fllwing sentences:
    1. Everyne was n vacatin.
    2. I bught smething fr my father.
    3. Everything tasted really gd.
    Step4:3a
    Let the students fill in the blanks in the bx, paying attentin t the use f Indefinite prnuns.
    Check the answers.
    Students recite the cnversatin.
    Step5:3b

    Step 3: Wrk n1a
    Pint ut the six wrds. Say each wrd and ask students t repeat it.
    Call attentin t the first picture. Say: This is a ring. The price is ne hundred millin dllars. It's expensive! D the same thing fr all six pictures'.
    Then pint ut the blank line in frnt f each numbered wrd. Ask students t match each wrd with a picture by writing the letter f each picture in the blank in frnt f the crrect wrd.
    Pint ut the sample answer. As students wrk, mve arund the rm answering questins as needed.
    Step 4: Wrk n1b
    Pint ut the smiley face and the frwny face. Say: The smiley face is fr gd things. The frwny face is fr bad things.
    Call attentin t the six wrds in activity la. Say: Nw write each wrd under the smiley face r under the frwny face.
    Pint ut the sample answer. Say: The wrd delicius is under the smiley face because delicius is a happy wrd.
    Ask students t finish the activity individually.
    Check the answers.
    Step 5: Wrk n1c
    Say: Nw listen t this cnversatin. Lisa is talking abut her vacatin.
    Pint ut the tw questins. Say: After yu hear the cnversatin, please answer these questins. Read the questins t the class.
    Play the recrding the first time. Students nly listen.
    Play the recrding a secnd time. This time say: Listen t the recrding and write the answer t each questin.
    Crrect the answers.
    Step 6: Wrk n 1d
    Call attentin t the chart. Read the wrds in the chart.
    Say, Listen t the recrding again. This time, write dwn what Lisa day abut…?
    Play the recrding. Students fill in the chart.
    Play the recrding a secnd time. Ask students t finish filling in their answers and t check their answers.
    Crrect the answers.
    Step 7: Wrk n1e
    Call attentin t the questin wrds. Have a student read them t the class.
    Say: Please wrk with a partner. Student A, yu are Lisa's friend. Student B, yu are Lisa. Student A, use this questin wrds t ask Vera questins abut her vacatin Student B, yu can use the infrmatin in activities 1c and 1d t answer.
    Help with the first questin. Pint t activity 1c. Ask: Where did yu g n vacatin?
    Say: Please wrk in pairs. As students talk, mve arund the rm, ffering prnunciatin and language supprt as needed.
    Step 8: Wrk n 2a&2b
    Discuss the questins in 2a with partner.
    Call attentin t Jane's diary. Ask a different student t read each entry in the diary. Answer any questins students have abut the new wrds.
    Explain the instructins t the activity. Pint ut the sample answer "weather". Say, the weather was a gd thing. It was "great".
    Say: Nw read the diary and circle all the gd things abut Jane's hliday. Underline all the bad things. Ask them t ntice the descriptin wrds that tell them whether smething is "gd" r "bad" (e.g. "great", "beautiful", "fun" = gd;"nt much fun", "bring", "crwded" = bad). Yu may want t ask a student t tell yu what the first "bad thing" was (i.e. Jane's kite breaking).
    Ask students t finish the activity individually.
    Check the answers.
    Step 9: Exercise (2a-2e)
    Read Jane’s diary entries again. Fill in the chart in 2a.
    Cmplete the cnversatin abut Jane’s trip t Penang using the infrmatin in the diary entries.
    Fill in the blank in 2e.
    Step 10: Wrk n 3a, 3b
    Ask Ss t lk at the three pictures in 3a.
    Read the wrds and phrases in the bx.
    Say, Nw yu can talk abut an imaginary vacatin. Pretend yu are a freigner wh came t China n vacatin. Think abut what natinality yu are and the places in China yu visited.
    Cmplete the diary entry abut a trip t ne f these places in 3a. Use the wrds and phrases in the bx.
    Ask and answer the questins in 3b t make a nte abut a vcatin.
    Ask students t get int grups f fur. Tell them t pretend that they are freigners wh meet at the airprt after their vacatin in China. One student in each grup begins by telling where he r she went. The ther students ask questins. Then they switch rles, s each student has a chance t tell the thers abut his r her vacatin.
    As students talk, mve arund the rm, ffering vcabulary and prnunciatin supprt as needed.
    Step 11: Wrk n 3c
    Say, Nw write a travel diary like Jane’s n page 5.
    Have students d the activity individually. Yu may want t have them write n pieces f paper, since space in the textbk is limited. As they wrk, mve arund the classrm ffering assistance as necessary.
    Have several students read ut their diaries t the class. (Yu might want t make this activity mre substantial, and set it as written hmewrk t be cllected and marked.)
    Step 12: Pair wrk
    Imagine yu are all freigners n vacatin in China. Yu meet each ther at the airprt n yur way hme. Talk abut what yu did n yur vacatin.
    Ss wrk in pairs, ask and answer with sentences in the picture in 4.
    T mves arund and prvides help if Ss need.
    Ask sme pairs t make a reprt t the class.
    Step 13: Exercise
    Finish Self Check 1 and 2.
    Check answers.
    Step 14: Hmewrk
    G n making up yur dialgues with yur partner.
