Conjunction (连接词)2. word order (语序)3. Tense (时态)Three Steps: (步骤) 4. Punctuation mark(标点)标点符号看主句-------当宾语从句的主句是陈述句时,整个句子用逗号。 -------当宾语从句的主句是疑问句时,整个句子用句号。① He wants to know if she will join our party. ② Do you know when she was born ? Conjunction that wh- question words if / whetherexercisesSome people believe that colours can influence our moods.An object clause functions as the object of a sentence.Object clauses introduced by that一,1. that可以省略that在宾语从句中只起连接作用,并不做任何句子成分,其本身也没有实际意义,在口语或非正式文体中常常省略,省略之后并不影响原句性质和意义。2. that不可以省略(1)从句的主语是that时,that不省略。We know that that is a sad story.(2)两个以上that引导宾语从句并列时,第二个that不省略。 He told me his mum was ill and that he couldn't come here. 二,that引导的宾语从句,表示陈述一件事,即由陈述句转化而来。1. 主句的谓语动词是 think, hear, hope, wish, remember, forget, know, say, guess等时,常接that引导的宾语从句。e.g. I hope (that) he will be fine soon.2. 主句由“连系动词+形容词”构成的“系表”结构,常接that引导的宾语从句。这类形容词多表示感情,如 happy, glad, pleased, sad, sure, afraid 等等。e.g. I’m afraid (that) he can’t come.三,that 特殊用法 1.宾语从句过长,用it 做形式宾语。I find it very easy that I worked out the problem. 2. think, believe,suppose,expect,imagine等做句子谓语,且主句主语为第一人称,这时否定要否定主句的谓语动词,即否定前移。 I don't think that he is a good teacher. 三、that引导的宾语从句相关的内容 1. 语序 不论什么情况下,宾语从句都要用陈述语序,即“主语+谓语+其它”。 e.g. Do you think (that) the radio is too noisy? 2. 时态 that引导的宾语从句,主句用一般现在时,从句用符合句意的任一时态。 e.g. He says (that) they have returned already.如果主句用一般过去时,从句要用过去时态的某种形式(一般过去时,过去进行时,过去将来时,过去完成时)。e.g. He said (that) he bought a new dictionary. [注]如果从句表达的是客观事实、真理、自然现象、名言、警句、格言、谚语等等,从句用一般现在时。e.g. Our teacher told us that light travels faster than sound.Object clauses introduced by that1. I want to know ____________________________________.2. Ask him _________________________. 3. I wonder ____________________________.4. Could you tell me________________________? if (whether) he will go to the park with us whether (if) he can come whether it is going to rain or not一, if/ whether “是否”,一般可以互换。if 较口语化, whether较正式。说明对陈述的事物不明确或不清楚。常用在ask, wonder, can (could) you tell me 等表疑问的谓语动词之后。 whether(if) Mr Li lives hereObject clauses introduced by if/whether二, 只能用whether的情况1.在介词后面: I’m thinking of whether we should go fishing. We are worried about whether it will rain tomorrow.2.在动词不定式前:They asked me whether to go skating.3.具有选择意义且又有or或or not,尤其是直接与or not连用时,往往用whether; I don’t know whether he’s free or not. Mary asked whether I was doing my homework or not. Tell me whether you’d like to go shopping or tidy the room.4.宾语从句提前时: Whether this is true or not, I can’t say.5. 在带to 的动词不定式之前: He can't decide whether to buy a new bike.6. 引起主语/表语/同位语从句时: The question is whether we should leave now.用疑问引导,改为陈述语气。我想知道你最喜欢哪一条领带?Which tie do you like best?特殊疑问句变陈述语序连接词就是疑问词本身I wonderI wonder which tie you like best?Object clauses introduced by (w)h word连接代词 who/whom/whose/what/which 在从句中做主语,宾语,定语,表语连接副词 when/where/why/how 在从句中做状语Can you tell me whom you're waiting for?None of us knows where these coats can be bought.你能告诉我你在等谁吗?我们中没有人知道这些外套在哪里可以买到.1.A: He is a worker. When he _______ (come) , would you please ask him to call me ?Cwill comecomestips3.宾语从句与简单句的转换由特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句常转换为“特殊疑问词+to do”结构的简单句。 I don't know what I should say.→I don't know what__________. 我不知道要说什么。to say “What’s the date today?”He asks me…He asks me what the date is today.Did he buy any food yesterday? She asks…She asks if/whether he bought any food yesterday.My brother will go to America. I know… I know that my brother will go to America. Word order:conjunction+subject+predicate连接词+主语+谓语陈述句语序要诀:助动词do, does, did和谓语动词合并;be动词, will, has, have, had,情态动词还原至谓语动词之前。1. What will I do next? Jack told me...改为宾语从句The students wondered... Will Miss Li be in charge of our class?The students wondered if Miss Li would be in charge of our class. What did he put in his stocking yesterday?He didn’t say what he had put in his stocking the day before.He didn’t say… Has he washed the clothes today?Did you remember…?Did you remember whether he had washed the clothes that day?We soon learned…They are having a picnic now.We soon learned they were having a picnic then.由直接引语转变为间接引语, 下列情况时态不变1. 不变的真理: The teacher said to us, “Water freezes when the temperature falls below 0℃.” → The teacher told us that water freezes when the temperature falls below 0℃. 2. 经常的习惯: He said to the doctor, “I smoke two packs every day.” → He told the doctor that he smokes two packs every day.3. 历史事件: The teacher said, “World War Ⅱ ended in 1945.” → The teacher said that World War Ⅱ ended in 1945.4. 部分情态动词,如must, ought to, used to, had better等不变: She said to me: “You must hurry up.” → She said that I must hurry up.5. Could(Would) you…表示语气婉转 who is he? (Could you tell me….) Could you tell me who he is?注:6. 含有疑问词的宾语从句 疑问词+ to do sth. I asked the teacher how I should do it.
