    1.The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame(the Hall of Fame for short)is a fantastic destination for everyone from lifelong basketball fans to families with children who are just beginning to explore the world's most popular sport.Each year, several thousand visitors crowd into this birthplace of basket-ball.

    Dates and Hours of Operation

    The Hall of Fame is open Wednesday through Sunday from late November through March 31 and daily the rest of the year.Hours are from 10 a.m.to 4p.m.(Friday through Sunday:10 a.m.to 5 p.m.).Because it may close for private functions, it is wise to confirm hours of operation ahead of your visit Just call 1-877-466-6752.

    Ticket Information

    Admission to the Hall of Fame(as of 2019)is $24 for people aged over 16, $16 for youths aged from 5 to 16 and free for children under age 5. Since the number of visitors is limited each day, you are advised to make a reservation in advance. For more information, please call 1-877-466-6831.

    Travelling from All Directions

    The Hall of Fame is conveniently located(位于)within driving distance from Boston(in the east), Albany(in the west), Vermont(in the north)and New York(in the south)and is right off of MA Route 91.For those who prefer to travel by air, the museum is not far from Logan International Airport and Bradley International Airport. For more information about the transportation, call 1-877-446-6755.

    A Friendly Reminder

    1. No food and beverage inside of the hall.

    2. Backpacks and any large bags are not permitted inside of the hall unless needed for medical reasons.

    3. If you wish to participate in shooting on Center Court, please wear appropriate footwear. Also, contests of any kind and half court shots are not allowed for everyone's safety.

     National Geographic Exhibit "Titanic: The Untold Story"

        The National Geographic Museum is always an interesting and educational place to visit. The admission isn't free but is definitely worthwhile for unique exhibits like this. We'll be taking a self-guided tour hut there may also he museum staff on hand.

        About the exhibition

        On this exhibition, you will be surprised to find that the sunken Titanic was discovered by Robert Ballard, who was then carrying out a top secret Cold War mission(任务). In 1985,Ballard’s mission was to dive to depths of 9,800 feet using a camera system called Argo to find and document the exploded remains of the submarine (潜艇) Scorpion. The objective of the mission was to gain evidence to determine what led to her loss. After concluding his successful investigations,Ballard used the final 12 days of his expedition to discover the remains of Titanic.

        The exhibition — originally exhibited at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum — shows the history of the discovery from an entirely new angle. Not only are visitors exposed to the historical events that led to the ship’s finding, but they can hear the fascinating stories of some of the passengers on board the ship. In addition to items borrowed from families of the survivors that have not been reunited since the night the ship sank in 1912, the exhibition contains those from the rich collections of the National Archives and the 20th Century Fox Archives. There are also movie sets and clothes worn by actors from the 1997 movie Titanic.

The highlight of the museum is its collection of Carlos Baca-Flor masterpieces, which is considered to be the most complete set in the world.

        Museum of Italian Art

        The only museum dedicated to European art inPeru, Museum of Italian Art is a storehouse of classical and contemporary paintings and sculptures belonging to the 20th century. The property is easily accessible by a short walk from Lima Art Museum.

        Museum of Natural History

        Last but certainly not the least is the Museum of Natural History. Giving a glimpse into the rich biodiversity inPeru, the museum has on display the skeletons of a sperm whale and fossils of several mammals.
