    Period 2(Section A 2a-3c)设计说明  本课时可利用教学图片、多媒体课件等教学工具,创设谈论动物的情景,所用图片或视频资料要生动、有趣,给学生更多的机会参与到活动中,提高他们听、说、读、写的能力;对听力与对话的处理做到实用、高效;Grammar Focus在呈现的方式上可灵活多样;朗读、翻译然后总结;通过猜谜游戏、分组做调查等活动,使学生熟练运用所学知识,真正做到寓教于乐、玩中用、用中巩固。教学目标  1. 知识目标:  (1)掌握单词和短语:scary,kind,Australia,south,Africa,pet,leg,cat,sleep;kind of,South Africa。  (2)掌握句型:  —Why do/don’t you like...?   —Because they’re...  —Where is/are...from?   —It’s/They’re from...  2. 能力目标:  (1)学会运用所学词汇和句型描述动物、谈论喜好。  (2)训练学生在听力训练中有目的地获取信息并完成听力任务。  3. 情感目标:  通过合作学习让学生了解同学对于动物的喜好,增进友谊;培养学生喜欢动物、保护动物、热爱大自然的意识。重点难点  1. 重点:  (1)本课时词汇:scary,kind,Australia,south,Africa,pet,leg,cat,sleep;kind of,South Africa。  (2)本课时句型:—Why do/don’t you like...?   —Because they’re...  —Where are lions from?  —They’re from South Africa.   2. 难点:  从外形、习性和产地等不同角度描述动物并谈论自己或别人对动物的喜好。教学准备  1. 准备有关动物的图片,一张世界地图。  2. 准备多媒体课件,2a/2b和2d的音频文件。教学过程  Step 1 Warming up & Leading in  1. Chant together.   Look at the screen and chant together.   Let’s chant!   What animals do you like?   What animals do you like?   Do you like pandas?   Yes,I do. Yes,I do.   Do you like tigers?   Yes,I do. Yes,I do.   Do you like elephants?   No,I don’t. No,I don’t.   2. Show the pictures of the panda,the elephant,the lion,the tiger,the giraffe and the koala to the students.   T:Look at the pictures. Who can say their English names?   S1:I can. Panda,elephant,lion,tiger,giraffe,koala.   T:Very good. What animals do you like?   S1:I like pandas.   T:Why do you like pandas?   S1:Because they are beautiful and cute.   T:What animals does everyone like in your group? Please report it to the class.   S1:My friend Liu Mei likes koalas because they are cute. Jim likes tigers because they are beautiful...  Step 2 Presentation  1. T:Well done. My favorite animals are pandas because they are very cute. Koalas are not my favorite animals because they are kind of lazy. Look at the picture in 2a. Read the sentences together.   Ss:He’s kind of big. He’s very big!   T:What does“kind of”mean in Chinese? Can you guess?   Ss:稍微,有点儿。  T:Yes.“kind of”means“a little”;“very”means “really”. Can you remember? Please make a sentence with “kind of”.   S1:I like giraffes because they are kind of beautiful.   S2:I don’t like cats because they are kind of lazy.   T:Me too. I don’t like cats. They sleep all day. They are lazy. And I don’t like lions,either. Because they are kind of scary.   T:(Show the map of the world to the students)Look at the map. Can you find these places?   Write the places and new words down on the blackboard and ask the students to read them.   China(中国),Australia(澳大利亚),South Africa (南非).   2. Remember the new words and phrases.   可怕的,吓人的scary  澳大利亚Australia  南方;南方的south  非洲Africa  南非South Africa  睡觉sleep  有点儿kind of  Step 3 Listening  1. T:Listen and write the animals you hear. Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries they are from. Go through the description words and places before listening.   2. Check the answers in groups.   Answers:    3. Report like this according to the information you take in 2a.   e.g. Pandas are kind of interesting. They are from China...  4. Listen again. Complete the conversation with the words in 2a. Then check the answers.   Answers:pandas;kind of;China  5. Practice the conversation in 2b in pairs.   6. Translate the following phrases into English.   有点儿有趣kind of interesting  真的吓人really scary  非常可爱very cute  来自be from  Step 4 Pair work  1. Talk about the other two animals in 2a with a partner. For example:  A:Does Julie like pandas?   B:Yes,she does.   A:Why does she like them?   B:Because they are kind of interesting.   A:Do you like pandas?   B:Yes. I like them because they are cute.   ...  2. Look at the animals in the pictures and talk about them with your partner.           3. Describe the animals with really,kind of,very...  For example:I like pandas because they’re kind of interesting. I don’t like koalas because they’re really lazy.   Step 5 Role-play  T:Does your family have a pet?(板书生词pet)  Ss:Yes/No...  T:Peter and Jenny are talking about their pets.   1. Read the conversation and answer the questions.   (1)Does Peter have a pet? What’s the name? What can he do?   Yes,he does. His name is Dingding. He can walk on two legs and dance.   (2)Does Jenny’s mother have a pet? What’s the name? What does she do?   Yes,she does. Her name is Lazy. She sleeps all day.   2. Learn the knowledge in 2d.   (1)“Why don’t you like the cat?”意为“你为什么不喜欢那只猫?”,此句是why引导的特殊疑问句,用来提问原因。“Why don’t you + 动词原形?”相当于“Why not + 动词原形?”,它还是一个提建议的句型,意为“为什么不……呢?”。  Why don’t you go(go)with us?   =Why not go with us?   你为什么不和我们一起去呢?  (2)kind of意为“有点儿”,相当于一个副词,后面多跟形容词,与a little同义。  It is kind of/a little(有点儿)strange.   这事有点儿奇怪。  (3)walk on two legs用两条腿走路 sleep all day 整天睡觉  3. Read after the tape aloud.   4. Role-play the conversation.   Step 6 Grammar Focus  1. Read the sentences in the chart together.   2. Translate the sentences into Chinese.   3. Talk about the grammar in groups of four. Sum up the grammar.   (1)why开头的特殊疑问句,用来对原因进行提问,其答语多用because来引导,也可用because of短语或动词不定式to do sth. 。  (2)where开头的特殊疑问句询问“来自哪里”,句子结构为“Where+is/are+主语+from?”,答语为“主语+is/are+from+地点名词.”。  (3)形容词的用法:  形容词在句中作表语,置于连系动词之后。  形容词在句中作定语,通常置于名词之前。  Step 7 Practice  1. Fill in the blanks with the words from the box in 3a. Then check the answers.    Answers:Where;They’re;like;don’t;Why;because;do;cool  2. Practice the conversation in pairs.   3. Write names of animals in the blanks in 3b to make sentences that are true for you.   提示:确认是用名词的复数形式填写,因为原因状语从句中的主语、谓语都用了复数形式。  Answers:(答案不唯一)从左到右:pandas;monkeys;cats;elephants  4. Play a game  (1)T:Now let’s play a game. I’ll describe one animal. Listen carefully and think about what animal it is.   (2)The teacher makes a model to the students. The students try to guess what animal it is.   (3)T:It’s your turn now. Please describe one animal to your group members. Let them guess what animal it is. 5. Work in groups. Describe animals and guess animals like that in 3c. Step 8 Survey  1. Make a survey about your partners’ favorite animal.   2. Then report it to your group.   For example:Tom’s favorite animal is elephants. He thinks they’re cute. They’re from Africa. They’re grey...  Step 9 Summary  In this lesson,we have learned:  1. New words:scary,kind,Australia,south,Africa,pet,leg,cat,sleep  2. Phrases:kind of,South Africa  3. Sentence structures:—Why do/don’t you like...?   —Because they’re...  —Where is/are...from?   —It’s/They’re from...  Step 10 Homework  1. Copy and read the new words and phrases of this lesson.   2. Read 2d according to the recording.   3.
