知识点1 形容词的概念
形容词是用来修饰物体的形状,大小,长度,属性,特点等,位于名词之前。
e.g. He is a hard-working student. (特点)
Our English teacher has long hair. (长度)
The elephant are very big, and the mice are very small. (大小)
知识点2 形容词用法常考点
(1)除了be之外,下列动词也有系动词用法,可以接上形容词
become 变得 get变得 go变得 turn变得
grow变得 seem 似乎是 appear 显得 1ook看上去sound听起来 smell 闻起来 taste 尝起来 feel感觉
remain保持,仍然是 stay保持 keep保持
(2)某些形容词加上定冠词the相当于名词,指一类人或事物
the old 老年人 the new新鲜的东西 the rich富人 the poor穷人
the blind盲人 the young年轻人 the sick病人
(3)多个形容词修饰同一个名词时的排列顺序
两个以上的定语同时修饰一个名词,通常的排列顺序是:限定词(冠词、物主代词、指示代词、不定代词)→数词(序数词、基数词)→描绘词(beautiful,fine等)→特征词(大小、长短、高低、形状、新旧、颜色)一国籍、出处→物质、材料→用途、类别→中心词(被修饰词)。
例如:That is a big small white desk.那是一张新的小白色书桌。
知识点3 形容词比较级规则变化
一般在词尾加er | tall --- taller long --- longer |
以字母e结尾, 加r | wide --- wider nice --- nicer |
“辅音字母+y”结尾,把y变i再加er | happy --- happier heavy --- heavier |
以重读闭音节结尾的单音节或双音节单词,双写最后一个辅音字母再加er. | fat --- fatter big---bigger |
部分双音节或多音节单词则在前面加more. | expensive --- more expensive careful --- more careful |
less也可以构成比较级和最高级,表示“较不”“最不” | less useful least useful |
词尾是-er,-le,-ow的形容词有两种构成方式 | clever: cleverer/more clever gentle: gentler/more gentle narrow: narrower/more narrow |

特殊形式比较级,共有三对二合一
坏病两多并良好,little意思不是小
一分为二有两个,一是老来二是远
知识点5 形容词比较级的常见用法
- “A+be+形容词比较级+than+B”
例如:
This tree is taller than that one.
His ruler is longer than mine.
A watermelon is much bigger than an apple.
注意
①在含有than的比较句中,前后的比较对象必须是___________,即同类事物之间的比较。
②如果被比较的东西为物时,than后的物主代词必须是__________。
③much后面必须跟___________,表示“......得多”。
④very后面只能跟形容词原级。
e.g. This girl is very beautiful.
B. 在含有or的选择疑问句中,如果有两者供选择,前面的形容词要用比较
级形式。
“Which is +形容词比较级, A or B?”
例如:
Who is taller, Tim or Tony?
Which is higher, the hospital or the library?
C.比较级+and+比较级
D.The+比较级..., the+比较级...
E.The+比较级+of the (两者)
例:Our school is the smaller of the two.
F.原级句型:as+形容词原级+as
例如:My room is as large as yours.
