①I'm Dan. I started running half marathns(马拉松) in the 1970s. I'm 78 nw. I've been ding them fr nearly fifty years and I still get the same excitement at the start f each race as l always have. The Wrld Cup is an internatinal ftball cmpetitin that takes place every fur years. The first Wrld Cup was held in 1930 and it has nly been stpped twice in the histry f the cmpetitin, in 1942 and 1946, because f the Secnd Wrld War. The Wrld Cup can take place anywhere in the wrld. In 2002 the hst cuntries were Suth Krea and Japan, in 2014 it was Brazil, in 2010 it was Suth Africa, and this year, in 2022, the hst cuntry is the State f Qatar. It is the first time that a cuntry in the Middle East is hsting the Wrld Cup and nly the secnd time that is hsting the cmpetitin in Asia.
The Wrld Cup usually takes place in the mnths f June and July. It is really ht in Qatar during the summer mnths, s the cmpetitin tk place in Nvember and December this year.
