    Story time and Fun time

    教学目标:(看动画加深理解教学目标)

    1.能听懂、会读、会说单词meat, potatoes, tomatoes, vegetables, look for, love

    2.能听懂、会读、会说现在进行时态的疑问句Are you doing… Yes, I am. / No, I’m not. How is the meat/ soup/…? 及正确回答。

    3.能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导下尝试复述课文内容。

    4.能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人正在做的事情。

    教学重点和难点:

    教学重点:

    1.在听故事的过程中理解词汇及句型Are you doing …? Yes, I am. / No, I’m not. How is the meat/soup/…? 及正确回答。

    2.能够从整体到局部理解故事内容。

    3.能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

    教学难点:

    现在进行时一般疑问句的准确掌握

    教学过程:

    Story time

    Step 1 Lead-in

    课前欣赏歌曲Fruit Vegetables。出示歌曲中的水果和蔬菜图片,引出fruitvegetables,初步感知本课词汇。

    Step 2 Presentation

    T: Fruit and vegetables are good for us. We eat them every day.

    And we can cook delicious dish with them. Look! What dish is it?

    Meat with potatoes

    土豆烧肉, chicken with potatoes, tomatoes with eggs,

    tomato soup 番茄汤, mushroom  soup.

    T: How do they look?

    S: Nice

    T: How do they taste?

    S: Nice.

    T: Yes. They are yummy. My mouth is watering. (教师做动作引导学生理解yummy)

    S: Look! Liu Tao’s parents are cooking in the kitchen too. What are they cooking?

    Let’s watch the cartoon of Unit 6 In the kitchen.

    Step 3 New teaching

    1. Watch and choose

    1) What do they have for dinner? (PPT呈现问题和选项)

    2) 教学meat with potatoes, tomato soup

    T: Who is cooking meat with potatoes?

    S: Liu Tao’s father is cooking meat with potatoes.

    T: Who is cooking tomato soup?

    S: Liu Tao’s mother is cooking tomato soup. (教学…is cooking …)

    T: How do these dishes look?  

    S: They’re nice.

    T: How are the dishes?  

    S: They’re yummy.

    2. Fill in the blanks (PPT呈现)

    【设计意图:通过看动画整体感知语篇,通过问答了解细节信息。】

    Step 4 Practise

    Before dinner

    1) T: Liu Tao comes home from a football match.

    When he gets home, what are his parents doing?

    S: They’re cooking dinner.

    T: Liu Tao smells something good. So he asks his mother:

    S: Are you cooking meat? (教学句型:Are you …ing?)

    T: Is his mother cooking meat?

    S: No, she isn’t cooking. She’s washing vegetables and she wants to cook tomato soup.

    T: His father is cooking. What is he cooking?

    S: He’s cooking meat with potatoes.

    T: Wow, how yummy.

    T: Now let’s read the first paragraph.

    2) T: Liu Tao is very hungry. So he can’t wait. And he is thirsty too.

    What is Liu Tao doing?

    Let’s read the text and answer the questions. (P59页,第二段文本回答下列问题)

    S: Liu Tao is looking for some juice in the fridge. (教学look for)

    T: What’s in the fridge? Is there any apple juice?

    S: No, there’s some orange juice.

    T: So, Liu Tao finds some orange juice in the fridge.

    T: Now let’s read the second paragraph.

    Dinner time

    T: (出示文本图片)Look! Dinner is ready. What are they doing?

    S: Liu Tao and his parents are having their dinner.

    T: Let’s read the text together. And try to answer the questions.

    T: What’s Liu Tao eating?

    S: He’s eating the meat.

    T: Does Liu Tao love the meat? Why?

    S: Yes, he does. He says it’s yummy.

    T: How is the soup?

    S: It’s nice.

    T: Good. Let’s read the whole text after the tape

    Step 5 Consolidation

    1. Let’s read. (四人一组,根据PPT的标准,选择一个星级的内容进行朗读)

    2. Let’s retell.

    3. Finish the exercises on page 60.

    4. Summary: I know most of you can not cook. But we can help our parents when they cook!

    And we shouldn’t waste the food. Our parents cook nice food for us.

    We need to thank them for that.

    Fun time

    1. T: Liu Tao’s friends Mike and Yang Ling are interested in Liu Tao’s meal.

    Mike has some questions. Who can answer them? (PPT呈现问题,学生回答)

    T: Who’s cooking meat?

    S: Liu Tao’s Dad is (cooking meat).

    T: Who’s washing vegetables?

    S: Liu Tao’s Mum is (washing vegetables).

    T: What’s Liu Tao looking for in the fridge?

    S: He’s looking for some apple juice.

    T: Does Liu Tao like the meat?

    S: Yes, he does.

    T: Do you have any other questions?

    (学生自己问答)

    2. T: Good! Parents are so great. They do a lot for us. What can you do for them?

    S: (学生自由回答)

    T: Liu Tao has a great idea. He and his friends are going to have a party for their parents.

    What should they do? (PPT呈现步骤shopping – cooking – party time )

    (1) Shopping time

    T: What are the children buying in the supermarket? Please guess.

    S: (学生自由猜测)

    T: (呈现答案,教学单词bread  tomato  vegetables  meat  potato,教师引导学生找到

    拼写和读音的规律,然后鼓励学生在朗读后尝试背诵)

    (2) Cooking time

    ① T: Now, the children are preparing for the party in the kitchen. They are so busy.

    What are they doing?

    T: (呈现Mike)What is Mike doing?

    S: Is he … ?

    T: (展示答案) Mike is cooking a fish. (带读Is he cooking fish? Yes, he is.)

    同样方法看图猜测Wang Bing, Su Hai Su Yang 在干什么。

    ② Say a chant.

    We’re busy in the kitchen.

    Are you cleaning the table? Yes, I am.

    Is he washing dishes? Yes, he is.

    Are they making a salad? No, they aren’t.

    What are they doing? They’re cooking some fish.

    We’re happy in the kitchen.

    ③ Fun time

    T: They look happy. Let’s join them. Here are the rules:

    A. Play this game in groups of four. 四人一组做游戏。

    B. One student acts and others guess. 一人表演,其他人猜。

    C. One point for a right guess. 每猜对一次,得1分。

    D. Everyone should talk in English. 每个人都要用英语交流。

    ④ Summary. Make a new chant.

    We’re busy in the kitchen.

    Are you cooking                 ? Yes, I am.

    Is he making                    ? Yes, he is.

    Are they                        ? No, they aren’t.

    C. Party time.

    T: It’s party time. All the parents are coming. It’s time to show your love to them.

    T: (扮成刘涛) Mum, come and have some nice food. What would you like?

    S: I’d like some meat.

    T: Here you are. How’s my meat?

    S: It’s yummy! /You’re a great cook. / Thank you.

    Step 4 Summary

    T: Children, we did great job today.

    First, we buy lots of nice food (总结食物单词) .

    Next, we cook lots of nice food and play funny games (总结句型).

    Finally, we give our food to our parents and they love our food very much.

    Remember: Try our best to help our parents. We’re the best!
