    教学分析

    本课是人教版九年级英语第2单元的教学内容。本单元主要介绍了国内外不同的节日,文化气息浓郁,教学内容丰富。本单元以同学们熟悉的传统节日开始,而且八年级已经学过一些相关的内容,素材来源与学生生活,同学们就有表达的愿望和诉求。教材Section B 部分主要是围绕西方的两个节日Halloween,Christmas展开,侧重两个节日的文化内涵,让学生更深层次地理解西方文化,激发了学生学习兴趣,提高了他们的学习效率.。 由that, if /whether引导的宾语从句和感叹句是教学重点,学生能利用所学知识表达自己的态度或做回应。本节课是一节听说课。首先通过节日向学生呈现中国传统节日,回忆这些节日的名称以及与这些节日有关的文化专属用语,并引入相关短语。这是本单元的第一课时,应该通过简单的听力活动输入新的语言,发展学生听说能力,让学生体会本单元的主题语言及文化内容,建立一定的感性认识。

    学情分析

    在学习本单元之前,同学们就已经学习过一些中外节日的词汇和句型,而且对于本课时的学习内容,大部分同学已经有了一定的了解,而且中外节日是学生比较感兴趣的话题,这是学习本课时的优势。另一方面,到了九年级,学生在学习上出现了分化的现象,有的学生英语基础薄弱,语言拓展的运用能力比较弱,而且学习过程缺乏耐性。教师可以安排这些同学通过复习七年级和八年级的相关内容,熟悉本单元的话题,鼓励学生积极学习,激发学生学习兴趣。

    整体设计

     【教学目标】

    1. 学生能学会重点词汇和目标语言。
    2. 通过学习本单元的内容,初步掌握宾语从句的用法。

    【教学重难点】

    重点:

    1. 重点词汇:moon cake, lantern, stranger, relative, pound, put on, in two weeks, sound like, be    similar to, throw water at each side, wash away, have a good luck
    2. 语言目标: Bill thinks that the races were not that interesting to watch.

                But I believe that April is the hottest month of the year there.

      I wonder if its similar to the Water Festival of Dai people in Yunnan Province.

    难点:陈述句的宾语从句和一般疑问句的宾语从句的用法。

    【课前准备】:准备好录音机、制作多媒体课件;根据课本提到的节日搜集中国其他的节日。

    【教学方法】:任务型教学法、情景教学法、自主学习和合作学习相结合。

    Watch the video and learn Water Festival.

    Read the conversation and tell “True” or “False”.

    1. stranger  n. 陌生人(可数名词)

      strange   adj. 陌生的,奇怪的

      e.g. Don’t talk to strangers.  不要和陌生人说话。

         There is nothing strange in the room.    房间里没有奇怪的东西。

    2. relative  n. 亲属,亲戚 (可数名词)

      e.g. They have a lot of relatives.  他们有许多亲戚。

    3. put on  增加(体重);发胖;穿上

      e.g. They’ve put on five pounds.  他们体重增加了5磅。

          It’s cold outside. Please put on your coat.  外面冷,请穿上大衣。

    4. pound n. 磅;英镑(可数名词)

    e.g. The desk weighs 5 pounds.  这张课桌重5磅。

    5. People go on the streets to throw water at each other.

      throw at  抛向;泼向;洒向

      动词throw后接所投掷的物体,用介词at引入泼洒的对象。

      e.g. On our way here, someone threw a stone at our car, but fortunately we were not hit.

          在我们来的路上,有人向我们的车投掷石块,所幸的是我们没被砸中。

          It’s the first snow of the year, and the children are happily throwing snowballs at each other.

    这是今年的第一场雪,孩子们高兴地拿雪球相互抛着。

    Grammar: 宾语从句

    在复合句中,由一个句子充当宾语,这个句子叫做宾语从句。宾语从句由“关联词+主语+谓语”构成。引导宾语从句的常见关联词有that, if, whether, what, who, where, whyhow等。

    通过本课的学习,学生们基本上掌握了本课的重难点宾语从句句型的用法。但是,个别学生仍需要进行继续单独训练。若要到达熟练掌握的程度,还应该加强训练。通过大量的训练,相信学习效果一定会更好一些。

    本课首先接触宾语从句中的陈述句结构,学生基本能理解并运用。学生的口语表达与书写还要加强。
