    The Tibetan Antelope
The Tibetan antelope—Latin scientific name: Pantholops hodgsoni; English name: the Tibetan antelope or Chiru; Chinese alternative name:the Tibetan antelope and the long angle sheep; transliteration(音译) from the Tibetan language: Zu.It is similar to the Mongolian gazelle(瞪羚) in appearance, but it is much bigger.A grown male Tibetan antelope usually weighs 35-40 kg and female 24-28 kg.The particularity(独特性) of the Tibetan antelope is that there is a little bag in every nostril(鼻孔).Its role is to help breathe on airthin highland.Adult males’ horns are usually 50-60 centimetres in length, but females haven’t any horns.Antelopes’ lifespan(寿命) is not very long.Normally, they can only survive for eight years. They like living in large groups on plateaus(高原) with the altitudes of 4,300-5,100 metres and are good at running.
But according to the recent researches and reports, the Tibetan antelope is becoming extinct but luckily many brave people full of responsibility(责任感) have taken action to join in the protection of it.We also hope to see the grand scene—a large number of antelopes running on the plateau again.

One night, Pilar was in a deep sleep when she was woken by her cat Inti. Inti was meowing wildly outside Pilar’s bedroom and throwing himself against the closed bedroom door. When Pilar opened her eyes, she saw that her bedroom was filled with smoke. As she escaped her house with Inti in her arms, she saw that a fire was burning in her kitchen. Pilar could easily have lost her life, but Inti would not let that happen. Even though Inti could have escaped the house through a cat door, he wouldn’t leave Pilar.
As amazing as this story is, it is not as uncommon as you may think. Take the example of Charlotte Lee and her horse, Thunder. One summer night, the whole family was asleep with the windows open. It was normally very quiet where they lived. Suddenly, there was a loud noise from the stable(马厩). Charlotte woke up from her sweet dream, and the noise continued. Then she heard a horse running fast towards the house. The next thing she saw was Thunder standing outside her window, neighing(嘶叫) and shaking his head. She knew something was wrong. Charlotte quickly got everyone out of the house before the earthquake hit. Thunder had saved her life.
There are also stories of wild animals coming to the rescue of humans. One animal known to be a friend of humans is the dolphin. Once, Todd Endris was surfing with his friends when he was attacked by a 13foot (4meter) shark. In the middle of the attack, a group of dolphins came to his rescue by forming a protective ring around Endris until he could get safely to shore(岸). Without the help of the dolphins, there is little chance that Todd could have escaped.
No one is sure why animals have so often come to our rescue. However, it is clear that humans and animals enjoy a close relationship. It is important that we care for them as much as we can.

Tea is the second most popular drink in the world after water. There are different kinds of tea including green tea and black tea.A cup of tea has become a part of our daily lives and our culture.Earlier, tea used to be made in large pots.Hot water was poured over a bunch of tea leaves even to make a single cup.It is believed that this led to waste of tea and that is where the story of the teabag comes in.
It is more convenient and easier to use a teabag than to brew(沏) fresh tea leaves every time you want to make a cup of tea. With the help of teabags, tea was made available in places like offices and airplanes. In order to make tea taste good, you need to remove the dried leaves after brewing. With teabags, you can brew a great cup of tea without a tea strainer.
“Who invented the teabag?”has been a question for a very long time. There are some interesting stories about this question, but the most popular one is of a New York tea businessman, Thomas Sullivan. In 1908, he sent samples of tea to his customers in small silk bags.A few of his customers thought that these bags were to be dipped(浸) in water to brew tea and so they did not empty out the tea.Sullivan did not realize this till the time he started receiving complaints from customers about the orders not being sent in bags. Then he started producing teabags and because of silk being too expensive he later used gauze(纱布).
The__popular__Sullivan__story__lacks__evidence.Whatever the truth may be, we will be ever so thankful to whoever came up with this wonderful product.Teabags have managed to make our lives so much easier.By the 1920s, teabags had successfully become the new way of drinking. It brought about a great change in our habit of drinking tea.
