    三、在空白处填入1个适当的单词——固定搭配
    1.frm。 be absent frm缺席,不在。
    2.in。 be absrbed in全神贯注于。
    3.t。 have access t有使用或见到……的权利或机会。
    4.in。 in apprval赞成地。
    5.t/twards。 attitude t/twards... 对……的态度。
    6.in。 check in登记。
    7.n。 cunt n依靠。
    8.abut。 be curius abut对……好奇。
    9.n。 make a deep impressin n sb. 给某人留下深刻的印象。
    10.as。 s/as lng as只要。
    11.by。 by mistake错误地,无意中。
    12.in; f; in。 in pssessin f/take pssessin f拥有;in ne’s pssessin为某人所有。
    13.fr; t。 have a preference fr偏爱;in preference t而不是。
    14.in。 make prgress in在……方面取得进步。
    15.n。 n purpse故意地。同义短语还有by design。
    16.under。 under stress在压力之下。

    四、写出画线部分在语境中的含义——熟词生义
    1.act熟义:v. 扮演,行动,表现。此处表示"起作用",类似于wrk。
    2.add熟义:v. 添加,加。此处表示"补充说"。
    3.apprach熟义: n.方法 v.临近。(1)中的apprach表示"接洽";(2)中的apprach表示"处理,对付",相当于slve或deal with。
    4.cntain熟义:v. 包含,容纳。此处表示"克制"。
    5.cunt熟义:v.数数。此处表示"重要"。
    6.cmpany熟义:n.公司。此处表示"陪伴,做伴"。
    7.develp熟义:v.发展,开发。(1)中的develp表示"冲洗";(2)中的develp表示"患(病)";(3)中的develp表示"开发";
    (4)中的develp表示"形成,产生";(5)中的develp表示"详尽阐述,阐明"。
    8.figure熟义:n.图形, 数字, 图表 v.计算。此处表示"体形"。
    9.fllw熟义:v.跟随, 在……后发生,听从(忠告等)。此处表示"明白,理解"。
    10.mind熟义:v.介意,当心,注意。在此处表示"照看",相当于lk after/take care f。
    11.prmise熟义:v.& n.许诺, 承诺。(1)中prmise作动词,表示"预示,使很可能";(2)中prmise作名词,表示"获得成功的迹象"。
    12.prvide熟义:v.提供,供应。在此处表示"规定"。
    13.stick熟义:v.卡住,陷入,动不了(be/get stuck in被困于) n.棍,棒。三个句子中的stick都用作动词,(1)中的表示"粘贴";
    (2)中的表示"插入,刺";(3)中的表示"伸出"。
    14.suffer熟义:v.遭受。此处表示"变差,变糟"。
    15.time熟义:n.时间。此处用作动词,表示"计时"。
    五、用括号中动词的适当形式填空——不规则变化
    1.accmpany→accmpanied→accmpanied。此处作状语,accmpany与主语the president之间构成逻辑上的动宾关系,故用过去分词Accmpanied。accmpany是以"辅音字母+y"结尾的单词,应将y变为i再加-ed构成过去式和过去分词。一些考生极易直接加-ed,并且忽略大小写。
    2.admit→admitted→admitted。此处作谓语,在助动词后,应用动词原形,且admit与其主语Yu为被动关系,应用被动语态,be admitted t表示"允许进入……"。故填be admitted。
    3.beat→beat→beaten。根据句中的yesterday可知,应用一般过去时,再根据前后文语境可知,第一空用主动语态,故填beat;第二空用被动语态,填were beaten。
    4.chse→chse→chsen。第一空所填词在句中作谓语,由last week可知此空填过去式chse;第二空根据Since then可知用现在完成时态,填have chsen。应注意过去式和过去分词的不同。
    5.clarify→clarified→clarified。clarify与this prblem为被动关系,应用被动语态,故填be clarified。此题极易直接在clarify后加-ed。
    6.grw→grew→grwn。第一个空作谓语,由下文时态可知,应用过去式grew;第二个空也作谓语,用过去式grew,grw t d sth.表示"逐渐开始做某事";第三个空用动词-ing形式grwing作enjy的宾语,表示"种植";第四个空作后置定语修饰名词vegetables,grw"种植"与被修饰词vegetables是逻辑上的动宾关系,故用其过去分词形式grwn。
    7.lead→led→led。所填词在句中作谓语,根据nce可知,应填过去式led。
    8.lay(放置,产卵)→laid→laid→laying;lie(躺,位于)→lay→lain→lying;lie(说谎)→lied→lied→lying。(1)中的第一空表示正躺在树下,用lying;第二空表示"说谎",用lied;第三空表示"放置",用laid。(2)中空处表示"说谎",用lying。
    9.mistake→mistk→mistaken。空处在句中作谓语,由thught可知,应用过去式,故填过去式mistk。
    10.quit→quit/quitted→quit/quitted。所填词在句中作谓语,由became可知,应用过去式,故填quit/quitted。应注意quit的过去式和过去分词的两种不同形式。
    11.speak→spke→spken。第一空作谓语,主语是She,再由下文的finds可知,此处填speaks; 第二空作真正的宾语,用动词不定式,故填t speak;第三空作谓语,由时间状语可知,用一般过去时,故填过去式spke;第四空缺谓语,"It was the first time that..."句式中,从句用过去完成时,故填had spken。
    12.wear→wre→wrn。第一空根据时间状语可知,叙述的是过去的事情,用一般过去时,填wre;第二空用动词-ing形式作enjyed的宾语,故填wearing;第三空作表语,表示"用坏的,用旧的",填wrn。
    六、用括号中的参考词汇表达句子——写作
