    Presentation:

    Learn to read the new words aloud.

    Show students some pictures, encourage them to say what these signs mean in English, meanwhile, present three key sentence structures: You cant... .Dont... .No +doing.

    1a: Which rules are these students breaking? Write the number of the rule next to the student.

    1b: Listen. What rules are these students breaking? Write the numbers after the names.

    Listen again and fill in the blanks.

    Ms. Clark: Hey, Peter. You know the_____._______________________.

    Peter: Sorry, Ms Clark.

    Mr. Smith: Amy,_____________________________________________.

    Amy: Oh, sorry, Mr. Smith.

    1c: Student A is a new student. Student B tells Student A about the rules above.

    1. Don’t arrive late for class. 

    arrive作不及物动词,意为到达”=get to,其后不能直接跟宾语,后常接in(大地方)at(小地方)

    例:他们六点钟到北京。

        They arrive in Beijing at six?

    我们通常在早上到达车站。

    We usually arrive at the station in the morning.

    三到达辨析(arrive, reach get to

    arrive  不及物动词,后接大地点用in,小地点用at

    reach  及物动词,意为到达,后直接跟地点。

    get to  后接名词,常用于get to+地点名词。

    arriveget后接地点副词,如here, therehome等时,介词要省略。

    例:他们坐飞机到北京。

        They arrive in Beijing by plane.

        They reach Beijing by plane.

    They get to Beijing by plane. 

    选词填空: in, at, to

    1. My teacher usually gets ___ school at 7:00 in the morning.

    2. When does she usually arrive ____ the bus station?

    3. Jenny’s uncle usually arrives ___ Shanghai in the evening.

    选用get arrive的适当形式填空。

    1. David _____ to London by plane every week.

    2. The man __________ at the airport on time.

    3. We ____________ here at five o’clock.

    2. Don’t listen to music in class.

    listen 作不及物动词,意为听;倾听

    动词词组listen to,意为......;倾听......”

    例:听,那个女孩在唱歌。

        Listen! The girl is singing.

    我正在听音乐。

    I am listening to music.

    listen hear 的辨析

    listen“听;倾听,强调的动作

    hear“听到;听见”, 强调的结果

    例:仔细听,我能听到某种声音。

    3. have tomust

        1) have to意为不得不,强调客观需要

            They have to wear school uniforms every day.
    他们每天不得不穿校服。

        2) must 意为必须,强调主观上的愿望。

            It’s late. I must go home now.

           天晚了。现在我必须要回家。

    Ⅱ.have tohas to填空。

    1. We ________ clean our classroom after school.

    2. She _______ make her bed after getting up.  

    3. It’s late. our teacher _______ go to work by car.

    4. Jane and her sisiter join the music club. They ________ practice violin every day.

    4. --What are the rules? 规则是什么?

     --Well, we can't arrive late for class.

           哦,我们上课不能迟到。

      1) rule规则, 可数名词, 构成的短语有:

       obey/follow the rules    遵守规章

          be against the rules

          break the rules

    school rules 校纪 = the rules of the school

    class rules 班规 = the rules of the class

    family rules 家规= the rules of a family

    rule还可以用作动词, 意为统治,支配

    e.g. A young king rules the country very well.

        一位年轻的国王把这个国家统治得很好。

    2) late  迟, 晚” (形容词或副词)

    e.g. Why are you late? 你为什么迟到?

        Sorry, I come late. 对不起,我来晚了。

         be late forn.=arrive late for  ()……迟到

    e.g. Don’t be/arrive late for work / class /meeting.

          上班/上课/开会别迟到。

    1. This is very important.

    important为形容词,意为重要的

    常用句型:It is important for sb. to do sth.做某事对某人来说是重要的

    :对我们来说遵守规则是重要的。
