①Where I’m from在我来的地方,where“在……的地方”。                                                                  

由 “where” 引导的地点状语从句。

   Where he lives, there are differnet kinds of flowers on the mountains.

   Where there is a will, there is a way.

  ② be relaxed about  对某事随意,宽松，不加以拘束,不严格

      I’m relaxed about what to wear every day.

     Don’t be afraid, just be relaxed about the food you like.   

     You just need to be relaxed about this examination.  

   relaxed 一般修饰人 relaxing一般修饰物。

   relax动词, relaxation名词。

2. We don't like to rush around, so we don't mind if people are a little late.

①rush around 慌慌张张，生活匆忙，东奔西跑

②mind doing sth.接以做某事

a little / a bit + adj. / adv.原级及比较级

   a little / a bit of +不可数名词

   not a little = very

   not... a bit = not... at all

 I’m not hungry a bit.= I’m not hungry at all.

 I’m not a little hungry.= I’m very hungry.

3.We often just drop by our friends‘ homes if we have time.

  drop by sp. / sb.= drop in on sb.

  drop in at sp. 顺便访问,拜访, 一般指偶然或顺路去访问某地或拜访某人

  visit访问,拜访的正式用语,用于社交或公事,出于某种目的(视察,检察或访友等)

   eg: I’ll drop by you while I’m staying in your city.

       Would you drop by when you are in town?

 4. We don’t usually have to make plans to meet our friends.

   make a plan/ plans to do …   制定计划做某事

  eg: Let’s make a plan ________(travel) in the mountain this weekend.

5. We‘re the capital of clocks and watches, after all!

   after all 毕竟,终究,别忘了,到底

  eg: It turned out he went by train after all.

       结果他还是乘火车去了。

       Don’ t be too strict with him. After all, he is still a child.

     不要对他要求太严格。毕竟他还是个小孩子。

6. If someone invites you to meet him or her at noon, then you're expected to be there at noon. 

     invite sb. to do sth.邀请某人做某事

    eg: Mr. Wang intives us __________(have) dinner in his house tomorrow evening.

7. If you're even 15 minutes late, your friend may get mad.

   get mad at sb. =be angry with sb=  be mad at sb. 生某人的气 

8. So I make an effort to be on time.

   make an effort to do sth. 努力做某事

  eg: My father is making an effort to________ smoking these days. (stop)

     You should make an effort __________ your reading ability. (improve)

9. I always leave the house early to avoid heavy traffic because I think it's impolite to keep others waiting.

   ①avoid doing sth.避免做某事

   eg: I think I must avoid ________(make) the same mistake again.

   ②It's impolite to do sth.做某事不礼貌

   eg: It’s impolite to ______________ without asking. (用别人的东西)

  ③ keep +adj. 让......处于某种状态

    eg: The rock music keeps people ____________(兴奋的).

  ④ keep sb. doing sth.  让某人持续做某事

    eg: He has kept ___________ (read) for two hours.

be supposed to的用法:

句式：

1)肯定句： be supposed to do sth

2)否定句：be not supposed to do sth 相当于shouldn’t do sth. 或 be not allow to do sth.意为“不应当做某事；不被允许做某事”。

  eg: You are not supposed to play football in the classroom.

3)疑问句：be supposed to do sth 的疑问句是将be动词的相应形式提到主语前面。

eg: Are you supposed to read before going to bed?

     晚上睡觉前你应该看看书吗？

   What are you supposed to do on weekend?

     在周末你应该干什么？

2. be expected to do sth.

   表达“被期许(预期)会做某事, 希望做某事, 表示一种可能性。

e.g. She was expected to arrive before dinner.

      希望她晚餐前到达。

be supposed to do相对于be expected to do主观性更强一些。
