It was Mother's Day and I was shopping at the local supermarket with my five-year-old son, Tenyson. As we were leaving, we realized that only minutes earlier, an elderly woman had 1 at the entrance and hit her head on the ground. Her 2 was with her, but there was blood everywhere and the woman was embarrassed and clearly in shock. 3 , a lot of people stopped to help out.
While we were walking towards the scene (现场),Tenyson became very worried about what had happened to the elderly couple. He said to me,“Mom, it's not much fun falling over in front of everyone.”Seeing that there was a flower stall (摊位)at the front of the supermarket, he added, “Why shouldn't we 4 the lady a flower? It will make her feel better.” I was amazed that he came up with this 5 idea. So we went over and told the flower seller what we wanted. “Just take it,” she replied. “I 6 take your money for such a wonderful action.”
Soon the medical staff 7 and operated on the injured woman. We gave the flower to the woman's husband and I told him it was 8 my son. At that moment, the old man started crying and said, “Thank you very much.” He then turned to me, “You have a 9 son. Happy Mother's Day to you.”
The man bent down and gave his wife the flower, telling her who it was from. In spite of(尽管)being badly hurt, the old lady looked up at Tenyson with 10 in her eyes and gave him a little smile.

On a cold November afternoon, my mother and I were walking back home from a pizza store. We had bought many things. We were dressed warmly, and I was feeling a little 1 as I was carrying our shopping things, so I decided to throw something away. I was walking towards a dustbin(垃圾箱) 2 I noticed a poor man walking out of the restaurant in front of us. He headed over to the nearby dustbin and started looking through it.
I suddenly felt very 3 because I was about to throw away a new drink just because it was too heavy. I walked up to him and handed the 4 and some bread over to him. The man looked up 5 and took what I gave him. A huge smile 6 on his face. I felt I couldn't be happier with myself. But then he said,“Wow, this is my son's lucky day!”
With that, he thanked me happily and started off on his bike. I 7 heard him singing as he rode away. I got a warm 8 inside. I now understand what it 9 by the saying “Giving is getting”.
Though it was only a little action, I got and learned more in those two minutes than I did in the rest of the month. Everyone in the world 10 help. Everyone can give help and everyone will be helped by showing kindness.
