Sheltered int the treetps, it will strengthen the natural envirnment by increasing the bird ppulatin and give visitrs a special cnnectin with these feathered friends.
The rm, which is Treehtel's eighth, pens in May and features a bld, experimental design. Each nsite wden huse interacts with nature and Bisphere is n different. The 3，800squareft Bisphere is accessed by a suspended bridge and is designed t invlve guests in the surrunding frests. After spending time at Treehtel, BIG funder Bjarke Ingels wanted t take the cncept f invlvement and push it even further.
“Almst instantly, the idea f nt nly the human visitrs but als the resident bird and bat ppulatin t live tgether in a glbeshaped grup f nests came t life，” Ingels shares.
BIG wrked clsely with Ohman t create birdhuses f different sizes t attract different birds. These birdhuses stick ut frm the abve, creating different levels and allwing light t enter the space while preserving the view. Ohman hpes that the initiative will inspire thers t build their wn birdhuses and prvide new habitats fr the decreasing bird ppulatin in nrthern Sweden.
