    be made of
    表示制成成品后,仍可看出原材料是什么,保留原材料的质和形状,制作过程仅发生物理变化。

    be made from
    表示制成的东西完全失去了原材料的外形或特征,或原材料在制作过程中发生化学变化,在成品中已无法辨认。
    Butter is made from milk. 黄油是从牛奶中提炼出来的。
    be made in
    在……地方制造,产于……地方,表示某物是在某地生产或制造的。
    This kind of perfume is made in England. 这种香水产于英国。
    be made up of

    Once upon a time, there was a millionaire who loved money more than jewelry or silk. He didn’t know exactly how much he had, so he took on a little girl to count all his money for him. It took the little girl six days to count all the money. When she told the millionaire that he had forty-two million dollars, he was wild with joy and asked, “How much money do you want?” He thought she was only a child and he could give her less money.
    The girl said, “Well, I worked for six days, so I think you should pay me for six days. Give me two pennies for the first day. Each day after that, just give me the amount you give me the day before, multiplied (乘以) by itself.”
    The millionaire thought that in this way he would only have to give her a few dollars. What a foolish girl!
    On the first day, the millionaire paid her two pennies, and on the second day, two pennies times two pennies, or four pennies.
    Each day after that, he gave her the number of pennies he had given her the day before, multiplied by itself. And by the sixth day the foolish millionaire had to give the clever girl all his money.

    Once, there was a spoilt(被宠坏的)little prince. He wouldn’t let anybody have a new toy if he didn’t have it first. So, if any child in the land wanted a new toy, they had to buy two and give one to him first.
    One day a toymaker came to the land. The prince liked his toys so much that he invited him to stay a year, provided him with a lot of money and asked him to make a new toy every day.
    “I just want to find a good owner to play with my lovely toys.” said the toymaker. “Will you promise to spend time with each one every day?” “Of course.” replied the little prince.
    Every morning the prince got a new toy, but day by day, there were too many toys. So, one day the prince put a few toys to one side, hoping to just “forget” about them. However, when the prince was ready to go to bed, those toys lined up in front of him and, one by one, asked for their daily playtime. That night, the little prince just couldn’t get to sleep until midnight. The next day, the tired prince slept very late but he still had to get to know a new toy and then play with all the others.
    From then on, every day was a little bit harder. The prince was so tired and sleepy. ▲ . Later, the prince had less and less time and had to play while eating, talking, bathing and even sleeping. He was terribly tired until one day, as he was looking out of his window, he saw some children playing with a stone.
    “Hmmmm, I have an idea!” he said, and he sent for the children. He shared his toys and let the children take home the toys they liked the most.
    The idea worked. The prince could enjoy himself without having too many toys to play with. Even better, he had new friends. From then on, he did the same thing and invited more children.
    At the end of the year the 365 fantastic toys had all been shared out and the palace had turned into the best playroom in the kingdom.
