1. 指示代词this、that作主语时，be动词和后面的名词均用单数形式；指示代词these、thse作主语时，be动词和后面的名词均用复数形式。

指示代词使用时的注意事项1. 在介绍某人时，用this、that、these 或 thse 而不用he、she 或 they。Tm, this is my sister, Alice. 汤姆，这是我的妹妹艾丽丝。These are my gd friends. 这些是我的好朋友。2. 在电话用语中，常用 this 指自己，that 指对方。—Wh is that? 你是谁？ —This is Kate speaking. 我是凯特。
【特别提醒】this、that、these、thse 也可作限定词修饰名词，此时名词前不能用冠词或形容词性物主代词。That bike is black. 那辆自行车是黑色的。These flwers are beautiful. 这些花儿很漂亮。
This picture is Sally’s. = This is Sally’s picture. 这是萨莉的照片。
指示代词的句型转换1. 一个句子中，如果主语是“this/that/these/thse+名词”，则该句子常可变换成指示代词作主语的句子。
Thse dgs are my cusin’s. = Thse are my cusin’s dgs. 那些是我堂哥的狗。
This is a cat.（变为复数句）
2. 单数句变复数句的规则： this变these，that变thse； be动词is变成are；可数名词单数变为复数；不定冠词 a/an 要去掉。
These are cats.
That is an eraser.（变为复数句）

1) wh是疑问代词，意为“谁”，常用在句首引导特殊疑问句，对人进行提问。2) 上述三个特殊疑问句都是由“Wh+be动词+主语?”构成的。3) 主语是单数时，be动词用is；主语是复数时，be动词用are。
