    设计说明

    本单元主要复习一般过去时的被动语态。通过观察句子,分析一般过去时被动语态的结构和意义,并复习一般过去时被动语态的用法。并通过选词填空、完成短文、复述故事等,提高对单词、短语、句型、语法等知识的实际运用能力。最后通过做题巩固所学知识。

    教学目标

    通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标:

    1. 知识目标

    (1)复习本模块重点的新单词、短语及句型。

    (2)复习一般过去时被动语态的用法。

    2. 能力目标

    通过在班级内做一个关于运动的调查,提高英语的实际应用能力。

    3. 情感目标

    了解奥运会和残奥会的相关知识,感受运动精神。

    Step 1  Reading and summarizing

    Get the class to read the sentences and summarize.

    1. Daming wasn’t chosen for the team last time.

    2. He was invited to competitions around the world.

    Summary: 一般过去时的被动语态的结构:was/were+及物动词的过去分词

    Step 2  Grammar

    The Past Simple Passive Voice

    1. 句式结构:

    1)肯定句:

    主语+was/were+及物动词的过去分词(+ by+动作执行者)

    The letter was written by Jim. 这封信是吉姆写的。

     

    2)否定句:

    主语+was/were not+及物动词的过去分词(+by+动作执行者)

    The letter wasn’t written by Jim. 这封信不是吉姆写的。

    3)一般疑问句:

    Was/Were+主语+及物动词的过去分词(+by+动作执行者)?

    Was the letter written by Jim? 这封信是吉姆写的吗?

    4)特殊疑问句:

    疑问词+was/were+(主语+)及物动词的过去分词(+by+动作执行者)?

    When was the letter written by Jim? 这封信是吉姆何时写的?

    2. 含有动词不定式作宾语补足语的主动句变被动句的情况

    主动句中含有动词不定式作宾语补足语时,要把主动语态中的宾语变为被动语态的主语,宾语补足语的位置不变。

    The school encouraged Liu Xiang to train for the high jump.

    学校鼓励刘翔训练跳高。

    被动句:Liu Xiang was encouraged to train for the high jump.

    【注意】当省略to的动词不定式作宾语补足语时,变为被动语态时要把动词不定式的to补上。

    The boss made him complete the work in two hours.

    老板要他两小时内完成工作。

    被动句:He was made to complete the work in two hours by the boss.

    把下列句子变成被动语态。

    1 She watered the flowers this morning.

    The flowers ___________________ by her this morning.

    2 I saw them swim in the sea.

    They ___________________ swim in the sea.

    3 The doctor told my father not to smoke any more.

    Step 9  Around the world

    The Paralympic Games

       In 1948, Sir Ludwig Guttmann, a doctor at a hospital in England, began using sport as part of his patients’ treatment. He set up a competition with other hospitals at the same time as the London Olympics in that year. Over the next ten years, the competition grew bigger and bigger with more hospitals in England taking part.

       In 1960, at the Rome Olympics, Guttmann brought 400 athletes to compete. The modern Paralympic Games or Paralympicswere born.

    More and more people take part in Paralympics, and at the 2008 Paralympics in China, more than 140 countries took part. Great players, excellent records, crowded stadiums and enormous media coverage across the world made this the best Paralympics ever.
