Except fr this ne fault, Luisa was a gd child, s she felt much ashamed that she had caused her mther, whm she lved dearly, s much wrry. She made up her mind that she wuld never frighten her s again. N-she wuld cure herself f the running-away habit!
After that, whenever she felt the least desire t slip ut f the huse withut asking permissin, she wuld hurry t her wn little rm and shut the dr tight. T keep her mind frm bad plans she wuld shut her eyes and make up stries-think them all ut, hers, yu knw. Then, when sme f them seemed pretty gd, she wuld write them dwn s that she wuld nt frget them. By and by she fund she liked making stries better than anything she had ever dne in her life
Her mther smetimes wndered why Luisa grew s fnd f staying in her little chamber the head f the stairs, all f a sudden, but was pleased that the runaway child had changed int such a quiet, like-t-stay-at-hme girl.
It was a lng time befre Luisa dared t mentin the stries and rhymes she had hidden in her desk but finally she tld her mther abut them, and when Mrs. Alctt had read them, she advised her t keep n writing. Nwadays medical technlgy seems t be advanced enugh fr dctrs t perfrm brain transplants (移植). Thugh this prcedure (程序) has nly been successfully perfrmed n animals s far, dctrs are still hping t perfrm this prcedure n humans. Hwever, in my pinin, brain transplants shuld nt be perfrmed at all, especially nt n humans because f the large number f prblems and side effects that culd cme alng with. Hpefully these dangerus side effects will cnvince dctrs nt t perfrm this prcedure n humans.
Despite many benefits technlgy brings. I d nt think this medical technlgy f brain transplants will help. We were all brn with ne brain and thrugh childhd t adults ur mind develped int wh we are, s if with a different brain we wuld n lnger be unique. A persn with a different brain wuld seem t be a ttal stranger and in many ways they wuld be. N ne shuld steal ur identity frm us, even if we are seriusly injured, and change it t a cmpletely new ne. Als fr the peple wh have died with healthy brains, that was their identity and it shuld nt be given t anyne else.
Anther prblem with brain transplants is hw dctrs can chse what are “healthy” r “nrmal” brains. An elderly persn wh has died wuld have an aged brain that wuld nt be as efficient as yunger persn’s brain. Then wuld dctrs have t find healthy brains f the same age as the persn wh needs it? This culd als bring up ther factrs such as intelligence, sex, r physical prblems that a persn might have had befre death. Als anther prblem might be hw lng a brain can be kept “alive” after death and hw it can be kept “alive” withut damage.
Overall, my feelings abut this peratin are that it shuld nt be dne n humans until dctrs have vercme all the prblems and challenges that stand in their way f making human brain transplants successful.
Why des the authr think brain transplants shuld nt be perfrmed at all?
This prcedure has nly been successful n animals
Dctrs are nt able t perfrm brain transplants.
A gd many prblems and side effects may arise.
The cst f the peratin is extremely high.
What is the secnd paragraph mainly abut?
Peple shuldn’t give their healthy brains t thers.
Having a brain transplant means lsing ne’s identity.
Transplanting brains is changing ld brains int new nes.
Having brain transplants indicates stealing identity frm thers.
What is the writers’ attitude twards brain transplants an humans?
    A. indifferentB. favrable
    C. disapprvingD. bjective
What is the authr’s purpse in writing the passage?
    T encurage brain dnatin.
T stress the imprtance f brain peratin.
T argue against brain transplants n humans.
T intrduce the technlgy f brain transplants.

Practice frgiveness Frgive peple when they d make mistakes. Smetimes yu just have t stp and give peple the benefit f the dubt (t believe smene even thugh yu are nt sure whether what the persn is saying is true). They might really be srry r they might really nt knw that what they did was bad. 18
Keep an pen mind. Smetimes yu have t give peple the benefit f the dubt. 19 Fr example, when peple invite yu t parties, really cnsider ging instead f just brushing the invitatin aside because yu dn’t think they’re serius.
D smething tgether. 20 Yu can wrk tgether n a prject fr schl r wrk. Yu can als try a new activity tgether. These activities will give yu mre t talk abut and lts f chances t interact and get t knw each ther.
