Fr weeks, I failed endllessly, nly t watch the strng and small pieces f my pride unravel (散开) each time I tried.

If yu’re ne f thse peple wh have truble falling asleep, listen up. Yu might fall asleep 15 minutes earlier and wake up far less during the night if yu put n a pair f scks at bedtime.
T understand why, yu first need t understand the relatinship between cre bdy temperature and sleep. During daylight hurs, the human bdy keeps at an average temperature f 37 degrees Celsius. But at night, yur cre bdy temperature reduces as much as 1.2 degrees Celsius ver the curse f six r seven hurs f sleep.

Scientists think scked feet may have a neurlgical effect as well. Inside the PO/AH f the brain is a type f a warm-sensitive neurn (热敏神经元), helping us fall asleep and stay asleep. And if that’s the case, warming up the feet befre bedtime gives warm-sensitive neurns an extra pwer.
In a study, Krean researchers fund that wearing a pair f special “sleeping scks” nt nly quickened sleep, but lengthened verall sleep time by an average f 30 minutes and cut nighttime waking perid in half.
    12. What’s the relatinship between cre bdy temperature and sleep?
    A. Once yu cntrl yur cre bdy temperature, yu’ll fall asleep quickly.
    B. The faster yur cre bdy temperature drps, the faster yu’ll fall asleep.
    C. The cre bdy temperature desn’t have anything t d with sleep.
    D. The decrease f the cre bdy temperature stps fast sleep.
    13. Which f the fllwing is the benefit f sleeping with a pair f scks?
    A. Lwering the bdy’s temperature greatly.B. Reducing verall sleep time.
    C. Increasing nighttime waking perid.D. Speeding up yur sleep.
    14. What can yu infer frm the passage?
A Peple’s bdy temperature ges up at night.
    B. It must be uncmfrtable t wear scks in bed.
    C. A warm ft bath might be helpful befre sleeping.
    D. Warm-sensitive neurns have n effect n sleep.
