When my father married my mother in 1943, he gave my mother a 1937 crown coin and told her to keep it in the back of her purse and not to spend it. This would mean that she always felt that she was protected and would always have money if she really needed it.
When I was married in 1970, my husband, who had heard this story, obtained a 1937 crown coin for me and I have always kept it in my wallet, and I have always had enough for my needs.
A friend recently fell on hard times, partly through external (外部的)circumstances and partly through poor planning. Friends and I have loaned her money, paid her bills, given her food, and even tried to teach her budget techniques, but none of them has been a solution. She has just slipped deeper and deeper into financial trouble and depression.
Last week she looked pale and unwell, very depressed and hopeless, very sad for a friend to see and I then thought about how the crown coin, a physical reminder of another’s care and love had protected me, so I went to the bank for a $100 dollarbill.
I told my friend the story and asked her to keep the $100 in the back of her wallet. It turned out that she didn’t have a wallet, so she put the money in a little pencil case where she kept her coins. She immediately felt better—“I feel rich, and thank you for being a good friend,” she said, and we were both a bit teary.
I went home and remembered a little wallet I had that I’d never used, and thought, “I’ll give that to my friend. ” I opened it, and inside, found $100.
4.What did the 1937 crown coin from the author’s father mean to her mother?
    A.His concern for her.
B.His pity and protection for her.
C.His care and love for her.
D.His pride and respect for her.
5.Where did the author’s friend keep the $100 dollarbill?
A.In the back of her wallet.
    B.In a little pencil case.
C.In the pocket of her raincoat.
D.In the layer of her suitcase.
6.What can be inferred from the last paragraph?
A.The author became rich all of a sudden.
B.The author’s friend would receive a wallet as a gift.
C.The author’s friend was not touched by her story.
D.The author felt uncomfortable when receiving the bill.
7.What can be the best title for the text?
A.A crown coin B.The help to a friend
C.A hard life D.A gift from my father

There's no doubt that one of the greatest human achievements is the exploration of the space. Ever since astronaut Yuri Gagarin became the first person to be sent into the orbit around the moon in 1961, scientists have been pushing the boundaries further and further. But until now the exploration into the unknown has been dominated (主导) by men.
Of course, in the past, women were also included in the space projects and played an active role on the ground and behind the scenes. For example, they worked as seamstresses(女裁缝师), sewing vital space flight components. In fact, much of NASA's key work would never have been possible without them. Recently Hollywood produced a movie called Hidden Figures to focus on a group of American female mathematicians, especially the black women, who helped NASA send the first American into space. But this was not women's only contribution. Back in 1963, Soviet astronaut Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman to be sent into space. However, after that, space flight programs were slow to employ women. In the USA, NASA didn't accept applications from women to become astronauts until 1978.
But attitudes have changed and leading officials at NASA say that the first person to set foot on Mars should be a woman. The space agency aims to have a sexbalanced workforce but can only achieve that if equal numbers of men and women are trained for science and technology jobs. As Allison McIntryre told the BBC, “My director is a woman. We have female astronauts. We haven't put a woman on the moon yet. And I think that perhaps the first person to step on Mars should be a woman. ”
8.What did Yuri Gagarin do in 1961?
A.He landed on the moon successfully.
    B.He discovered many new boundaries.
C.He led scientists to explore the moon.
D.He made the first journey into the space.
9.Why does the author mention the film Hidden Figures?
A.To show women are the true heroes of NASA's first launch.
B.To stress that black people have won equal rights in NASA.
C.To prove women can do as well as men in NASA's projects.
D.To present women's contributions to NASA's space programs.
10.What is Allison McIntryre's attitude toward women astronauts?
    A.Uncaring. B.Disapproving.
    C.Supportive. D.Disappointed.
11.What is the best title for the text?
A.Will the First Person to Step on Mars Be a Woman?
B.Great Achievements Have Been Made in Space Exploration
C.Why Did Men Play an Important Role in Exploring the Unknown?
D.Men and Women Have Made Equal Contributions to NASA's Projects

Slowly but surely, we’re moving closer and closer to 5G world. From smarthome security to selfdriving cars, all the internetconnected devices in your life will be able to talk to each other at lightningfast speeds with reduced delay. Objectively speaking, the fastest 4G download speeds in the U.S. top out at an average of 19.42 Mbps. But by comparison 5G promises gigabit (千兆) speeds.
“5G is one of those signs, along with artificial intelligence, of this coming data age,” said Steve Koenig, senior director of market research for the Consumer Technology Association. The selfdriving vehicle is a great emblem of this data age, and that is to say, it is a sign of time, because with one single task, driving, you have massive amounts of data coming from the vehicle itself, and a variety of sensors are collecting a lot of information to model its environment as it moves. It’s pulling in data from other vehicles about road conditions down the lane. It could be weather information, but also connected infrastructure (基础设施) construction. There’s lots of data behind that task, which is why we need high speed.
Augmented reality glasses and virtual headset haven’t yet broken the mainstream, but tech companies are joyfully betting that these devices will eventually replace our smartphones. With 5G, that could actually happen. This is notable because companies such as Apple are reportedly developing AR glasses to assist — or perhaps even replace — smartphones.
Ericsson stated at February’s Mobile World Congress how smart glasses could become faster and lighter with a 5G connection, because instead of being weighed down with components, the glasses could rely on hardware for processing power.
But don’t get too excited. There’s still a lot of work to be done in the meantime including various trials to make sure the radios play nicely with hardware and infrastructure construction so 5G isn’t concentrated only in big cities.
12.What does the author want to stress in Paragraph 1?
    A.The lightingfast speed of 5G.
    B.The expectation of 5G world.
    C.The difference between 4G and 5G.
D.The internetconnected devices in our life.
13.What does the underlined word “emblem” in Paragraph 2 mean?
    A.Exhibition. B.Success.
    C.Symbol. D.Explanation.
14.We can infer from the text that ________.
A.5G world won’t come without AR glasses
B.5G helps to create the artificial intelligence vehicle
C.Apple company is developing AR glasses worldwide
D.Tech companies will face the fact that smartphones may be replaced
15.What will the author probably tell us next?
A.How to fully expand 5G coverage.
B.Smart glasses will become faster and lighter.
    C.Why 5G isn’t concentrated in big cities.
    D.The importance of infrastructure construction.
根据第一段最后一句“But by comparison 5G promises gigabit speeds(但是相比之下5 G承诺千兆速度).”

根据第三段中“This is notable because companies such as Apple are reportedly developing AR glasses to assist—or perhaps even replace—smartphones(这一点值得注意,因为据报道,苹果等公司正在开发增强现实眼镜,以帮助——甚至取代——智能手机).”
根据最后一段 “But don’t get too excited. There’s still a lot of work to be done in the meantime, including various trials to make sure the radios play nicely with hardware and infrastructure construction so 5G isn’t concentrated only in big cities(但是不要太激动。

故将that改为where。
故将us改为 you。
故将was 改为is。
    9. 考查冠词。句意:所以给你的朋友买一些不是个好主意吗?此处泛指“一个好主意”,good以辅音音素开头,用不定冠词a 。故将the改为a。
    10. 考查连词。句意:如果你对日程安排有任何疑问,请给我写信。此处指“如果”,应用if引导条件状语从句。故将unless 改为if。

    第二节 书面表达(满分25分)
    假定你是李华,得知外教Chris想利用假期外出游玩,你愿意做他的导游。请给他写封邮件,内容包括:
    1.推荐线路;
    2.推荐理由(历史、文化等角度);
    3.你的祝愿。
    注意:1.词数80左右;
    2.可适当增加细节,以使行文连贯。
    3.开头和结尾已给出,不计入总词数。

If you travel in Shandong, I strongly recommend that you pay a visit to Jinan, which is famous for its springs. It is not only a city with a long history but also has many places of interest. Besides, people in Jinan are friendly and kind. Mountain Tai is another attractive destination. Time permitting, you can experience different cultures and enjoy various local snacks.
    Wish you a pleasant journey.
