Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming up & Revision 1. Greet the class. 2. Let’s sing the song Where is the toy car? 3. T say the commands. Ss do the actions. Row a boat. Bounce a ball. Read a map. 4. Oral communication. S1: Where is your ruler? S2: Guess! S1: Is it in your pencil box? S2: No, it isn’t. S1: Is it on your desk? S2: Yes, it is. Step 2 Presentation & Practice 1. Show the Ss a ruler. Put the ruler in different places. Ask the Ss to describe the ruler. Revise the words in, on, under. 2. Then put the ruler behind the book and guide the S to say It’s behind the book. 3. Teach the word behind. Lead the Ss to read the words and practice the sentences. 4. Play a hide and seek game. A. Say Let’s play hide and seek. Make sure the Ss under- stand the phrase hide and seek. B. Then play the game. During the game, lead out the sentences Are you ready? I can’t find it. 5. Watch the video twice. Explain the key sentences Let’s hide and seek. / I can’t find you! / I’m behind you! 6. Watch, listen and repeat. Then practice in pairs. 7. Retell the story or act out the story in roles. Step 3 Consolidation & Extension 1. Watch the video of the story and try to imitate. 2. Do the exercises. Choose the different word. Step 4 Summary & Homework 1. Focus on the key knowledge of this part. 2. Do homework Retell the story to their parents at home. |
