    4. abve prep. 1)(表示位置)在……正上方;高于”(与 belw相对)。 e.g. He lifted the heavy bx abve his head. 他将这个很重的箱子举过头顶。
    2) 表示在地位、级别、能力、资历、重要性等方面“超过”、“在……之上”、“比……强”。 e.g. He is abve me in writing and speaking. 他在写作和口语方面都比我强。
    5. I felt lucky t be alive. alive 一般作表语;也可以作后置定语或宾补。 “活(着)的;在世的;(继续)存在的”;反义词是dead。 e.g. D yu knw if she’s alive? 你知道她还活着吗? Tm was alive in the big fire. ( 宾补) 汤姆在这次大火中活下来了。
    alive “活着的”,在句中常作表语或定语。作表语时,常可与 living互换;作定语时,常要放在被修饰词之后。living“活着的”,在句中用作表语或定语。lively“活泼的”,在句中可作表语或定语。

    一、概念过去完成时表示一个动作或状态在过去某一时间或动作之前已经完成或结束,也可能是早已完成或结束,即“过去的过去”;也可以指过去的动作延续到过去的某个时刻。二、结构“had +动词的过去分词”
    表示过去某一时间或动作之前已经发生或完 成的动作或存在的状态。句中常用by, befre, when, until等词引导时间状语。 它是以过去某一时间为起点,所以过去完成 时是一个相对的时态,表示的是“过去的过 去”。只有和过去某时间或某动作相比较时才能用到它。例: By the time I gt utside, the schl bus had left . 我到达外面的时候,校车已经离开了。
    2. 过去完成时还可表示过去某一时刻之前发生 的动作或状态持续到过去某个时间或持续下 去,常与fr, since等词连用。例: When Jack arrived, Mary had been away fr almst an hur. 当杰克到时,玛丽已经离开快一个小时了。

    by the time 意为“到……时候(为止)”,一个介词短语,在句中常起到连词的作用,引导时间状语从句。如果从句中的谓语动词是一般过去式,那么主句的谓语动词通常用过去完成时,表示“截止到从句动作发生时,主句动作已经完成,即过去的过去”。
    例:By the time yu came back, I had finished eating the hamburger. 你回来时我已经吃完了汉堡。 (从句谓语动词came back 为一般过去时,所以主句动作用过去完成时had finished, 表示过去的过去。)
    (1)by the end f +时间点意为“到……结束时” ① +过去的时间点,主句用过去完成时; 例:By the end f last year, Mr. Rbin had lived in Kunming fr seven years. 到去年结束时,鲁滨逊先生已经在昆明生活了7年。 ② +将来的时间点, 主句用将来完成时例:By the end f next mnth, I will have finished watching the TV play. 到下个月结束时我将要看完这部电视剧。
